Just woke up..... What a horrible night I had.. DATM had been invaded by alien life forms who all looked like Joan Collins. These drama queens had popped up out of nowhere and were searching every orifice for season cards and ripping them up with their hooked claws.... NakhI, joel and Harry were running for their lives as the baying mob closed in...Meanwhile Tyrone Thompson and Kevin Sharp were being carried shoulder high as the queens harked back to the good old days ... Town fans were being slam dunked to the floor and having their life blood sucked out of them by these parasites. I tell you it was horrific.... Then I woke up.... Had a quick look at the league table... And we were 11 points clear of relegation in the championship with 11 games to go .... And I realised....... It wa just a dream

I had a similar dream where it was entertaining football week in/week out and the chairman poured his millions into the club, to keep all his customers happy. Then I woke up and realised it's been lower league guff for years and a little bit of spending by the chairman has created a fanbase so spoilt.

One of them what if's....
If we hadn't had Deano come along in 2008 where would Town be now in the football pyramid?

I woke in the middle of night sweating, crying, whimpering thought my team had conceded two bad defeats , then I realised I'd left thermals on under marks nightwear.....
Phew, Glad all is ok with my team.

Standing out in the cold have travelled all night to watch that isn't fun. The result is not guaranteed that's known. But a half arsed performance you should be entitled to. That last night and Saturday combined is unacceptable. People who comment saying just get behind the lads and get off their back your affecting the performance can't be right. We had 2000 singing fans for 90 minutes and we got completely played off the field on Saturday. We out sung weeds at bellend road and got drubbed 3-0 and 5-1! Until the players or management or both start sorting it out then the fans can't be blamed. I believe we more than play our part

I dreamt that we came back and actually won 4-2 last night. Decided to take the leeds pretend we won attitude so the result stands. Hopefully the football league will update the table accordingly. The scorers? Harry Bunn got two, Jeff Stelling one and that bird off Countdown scored a header in the last minute.

I believe we more than play our part Yeah, but what about when we make other teams look like they're putting in a 'half arsed performance'. The last being Reading only a week ago! Most of the teams in the division (& other divisions for that matter!) have performances that you describe. That's because most teams are inconsistent - it's the nature of things. Some people seem to live in a dream world whereby we play great football every game. It's never going to happen, especially at a club like Town, at the lower end of the financial level. I absolutely agree the point Ted's making, but 'drama queens' barely does them justice. Moaning like it's the end of the world after each defeat, as opposed to looking at the bigger picture, which is that we're 11 points clear of the drop zone with 11 to go. Only since last night, we've had crap like not renewing ST's or we're in a false position etc. etc. The phrase 'get a fucking grip' certainly applies to plenty on this forum.

As far as '11 points clear' is concerned; all I can say is thank God for Millwall. And Chippendale's comments are typical of the type of person with rock-bottom standards.

So everything in your Town world is rosy then is it? No, it isn't mate, far from it & I've not said it is. I try & post in a balanced way, recognising the good things AND the bad things, as opposed to the doom & gloom merchants who pop up after every defeat with shit like I'm not renewing, Hoyle out, the football's the worst it's ever been, CP's the worst manager ever (even though they said that about the one before & the one before that) etc. etc. I don't know what's so difficult to understand about my view (& others who share them). Defending Town against some of the shit that pops up on here, isn't being a happy clapper or a sign that someone can't see the problems etc, but rather it's having half a brain cell & being able to recognise the difficulties the club face & also the progress that has quite literally been made year on year, under Hoyle's tenure.

On the flip side what's so difficult to understand that there are many fans who have concerns about Powell and things to do with the club? Some may be happy with a manager who is happy to draw 0-0 at home to the worst sides in the division, who doesn't try anything during games to win them when plan A doesn't work, who doesn't use subs or when he does is after 88 mins, who only uses certain players, seemingly unwilling to try others, who makes the same mistakes over and over again expecting different outcomes, who says one thing then does another. Others arent happy with this and should be free to express their concerns without the snide remarks/threads popping up. Then take the club on the whole which has the feel of a club just plodding along until inevitabely it will go down, who also say one thing then do another, has a frankly awful marketing team, seems to have lost touch with the fanbase unlike a few years ago, plus more but thats enough for now. There's a lot not right (as well as right) if this isn't the place to air your views where is? We're still Town fans, will still go to the games and want us to win just have a different view on things.

My dream last night was about Ali Baba with the forty thieves. Tom, Tom, the piper's son, he was there with me.
I rode through the valley with the princess by my side...
