Not sure if it has been mentioned on here, but radio Leeds are having Neil Redfearn on tonight as a guest on their sports programme with Gareth Jones, this has apparently got a few town fans on his Twitter page asking why Town are not now being invited to guest a programme as well. He has replied saying Town have refused all attempts to send a guest since December! This seems a strage stance from Town who have been quite active in the past to promote the club, anyone know why we are doing this?

We might be waiting until we win a game first would be nice before the end of the season, just for the change of pace.

What would we talk about?

Seems strange as at one time you couldn't turn Radio Leeds Sport on without there being someone from Town talking about the club. Maybe a conscious decision to "Batten down the hatches" ?

Or maybe it's cos RL are a bunch of condescending arseholes (Oggy aside), who critique and take the negative slant on nearly everything we do, while covering Leeds in some sort of North Korean Military Radio fashion where a fart by a Leeds player is celebrated like they've won the intergalactic cup.

Do they!? I think they take their tone from the negative numpties who text in after every defeat, but who go silent when we win.

Her and O'Regan together and the end is nigh.

I don't blame the club. I feel Radio Leeds are overly "down" on all things Town
The hysterical infantile over reaction after a defeat is routinely pathetic and typically lacks any objectivity beyond the score line
IMO there's a unnecessary negative under current around the club - despite an okay season - and the media, especially Radio Leeds are helping stir up that negativity

You see the same negativity on here after a defeat - often with other fans being more upbeat. There's more of a balance Radio Leeds only seem to have negative texters - do they not get any positive texts they can read for balance?

I felt this time last year that Katherine Hannah was delibrately stirring when hosting the HTFC games, every text/email/tweet regardless of win/lose/draw was ALWAYS a negative one. It was as if they would only read out the negative crap, and use it to stir the pot somewhat and cause unrest. O'Regan is a miserable bugger at the best of times, so she'd just happily set him off whilst reading out the most ridiculous messages that they could find. There was nothing objective in the slightest in what RL did, and it was in massive contrast to how pro Town they were prior to those chestwankers getting back on RL. You then contrast that to the Adam Pope cringefest of bigging up everything Leeds do, and you get a massive contrast in the two coverages. If I worked in the clubs Comms team I'd definitely try shake things up with RL because they don't help us by assisting in the creation of the apathy over the club. C****

C**** Caught the tail end of the summary of the Fulham game, and Oggy was describing the game as flat, etc. I know the first half performance wasn't up to the 2nd 45 minutes, but in the summary Oggy was making out we were terrible. Complete contrast to what I saw, and might in some way explain the reaction of some fans on here who hadn't attended the game and possibly listened on RL? Also, how come Oggy never does our press conferences? Its always either Katherine Hannah, or Adam Pope, and Radio Leeds get to take the vast proportion of time to put questions to either Powell or the player who is present.

We're second bottom on form currently over the last 6 games. Do you seriously think expert commentators can ignore that and pretend all is good? They don't live in DATM fantasy land!

You don't have to live in DATM fantasy land to see the bias. Earlier this season we got a point at Bournmouth, backs to the wall was how the Beeb described it. The stats supported that view. The next week Leeds beat Middlesbrough with a similar backs to the wall display with Middlesnorough wondering how they had not won. Stats very similar to ours with Bournemouth the previous week. Wasn't descibed as a backs to the wall performance but as a brilliant and deserved victory that was raved about for weeks after especially after another bad performance and result for those delicate whites.

Personally I quite like our coverage. Gareth Jones and Oggy say it as it is, Kieran can be negative at times. But I'd much rather have that than Adam Pope and whoever they get to summarise to rattle on about how big club Leeds are, how they deserve to be in the premier league, how they are unlucky in every match, how the refs and the league are always against them etc.

Dunno, but you seem pretty good at ignoring plenty of opinions, facts, and statistics. We're all different. If you're who I think you are, there's a huge difference in what we see as acceptable behaviour. Let's keep things Town related eh? All of what I said was fact, why do you have a problem with that?

The form table is fact, you can't ignore it, no matter how much of a yes fan you are. We are currently 2nd bottom on form over 6 matches - fact, not fiction. Stop hounding Town fans for not towing your yes man attitude.
Ignoring the current problems is not the answer. Shouting down those questioning the club is definitely not the answer.

I'm not shouting you down, the only evidence you want to offer regarding the standard of football is the form table over 6 games. I'd rather take into consideration the league position, the injuries, the suspensions, and the fact that we absolutely outplayed Fulham, and gave one of the best sides in this division (on form and league position), a very good game - all in the space of a few days.

I would love for us to get our own station like the pulse! Leave RL to Leeds. Only people worth listening too are Gareth Jones and Oggy. The rest, especially Pope are d***heads.

Yes results have been bad but we have played well in the last two games and not got what we deserve - I think we played better versus Norwich and Fulham than say in the win against Wigan I try to not let results be the only indicator and can recognise we are playing better than the results would suggest

Points count in football, not luck or "we played well but lost 2-0".

Agree that points matters but we are not far off
If we were getting battered every week it would be different and I'd also be having a good moan. However we aren't and have been damn unlucky in the last two games

However we aren't and have been damn unlucky in the last two games But we are getting battered every week!? We are 4th bottom over the last 10 games and 2nd bottom over the last 6 in form. 10 games is not short term. Maybe I'm a pessimist, but I'm worried that we could go down at a time when the club seem to think we're coasting to the end of the season in safety. I've seen this before. Once bitten and all that....
