SS Cowshed SC sales pushing 300 already...We had 350 SC holders in the NS this season with the 600+ average being made up by SC transfers and POD.....Fantastic effort so far for the new home end

Hope we don't end up with the stewards doing the same as they did in L1 when we shared the south stand with the away fans, with them able to stand all game without bother and us told to sit every 4 seconds. No doubt they'll also put far too many stewards in that stand as well. It's something that will be raised before the start of the season with the club. We want them to steward it like they have in the NSL, we would like the same stewards as well.
Its a logical assumption as you aren't going to go into the SS without realizing its an area people will be on their feet. However that's assuming stewards always are logical rational people! I suspect there will be a bit of grief at times when the away fans are allowed to get away with standing as its difficult to manage but you guys will probably get more heavily marshaled in that respect.

Transfers going to be allowed in the South Stand ? Hopefully, depends on SC sales and availability. Work in progress.

Not disputing that. The stewards in the NSL have been very tolerant of standing and have not been heavy handed.

The stewards have been as good as gold in the North Stand & I am sure they would say the same about the fans in return. I expect that trend to continue into the South Stand.

Never once been told to sit down in the NSL so the stewards are well aware of the situation, doubt it will change just because we are now at the other side of the stadium.

Transfers going to be allowed in the South Stand ? Yes and POD in to block 1 initially dependent on how things go with SC sales in block 2

the south stand was designed and built as a shared stand, but who goes in which half might be flexible arrangement...? Not sure the capacity of each bit tbh...

Is the long term plan to get away fans in the kilner bank every game?
My guess is that we may have one game next season with away fans in the kilner bank to prove to the police that it can be done. The season after we could then have the whole of the south stand for town fans.
It needs the home area of the south stand to be full next season though for it to be worth doing and I doubt that will happen.

But I thought there were seperated turnstiles into the south stand, divided by a wall as you go through..even though the seating area is not partioned? Am I dreaming this......

I agree with you, I think Dean is keen to have Town fans in that south stand, and these are stepping stones. I also think the club would be happy to break up the singing section in the Kilner and disperse them ...or at least amalgamate them into a packed south stand. It will need a lot of promoting by the club for it to take off big time though..it won't just happen by itself. Making it the cheapest area and being more tolerent with flags, banners and standing might also help. I hope it takes off because accousticaly it is the best stand...we need to get over 1,000 in there next season but any more than that needs the club to basically bribe fans to go in...and if next season they do swap the stands over a town end with 2,500 in there would be pretty noisy i reckon...

How often will the transfers be? It's all dependant on SC sales. If transfers do happen, there may well be a charge per transfer depending on where you transferring from.

I'd be shocked if the club, or Dean for that matter, will take a financial hit to try accommodate home fans going in the south stand. The chance of having bigger away followings coming to town next season is to maximise the empty seats we have at town and make some money. Although I am sure the club ideally would love for the south stand to be full of town fans, I only see that happening if the demand is there. As to the divide in the south stand, you are correct it does have a dividing wall at the turnstiles. However I think it's only there for when smaller followings come and the stand is divided in half to reduce cleaning and stewarding costs. Not to allow home fans in the other half. In the off season, some building work is taking place to make the stand properly divided. The safety certificate only covers that stand for away fan only, obviously that will change next season.

To have away fans in the Kilner every game what a load of bollox. You will only get 2,000 max if the south stand was a home end. Kilner is the best stand in the Stadium for a full view of the game.

Does anyone know why season tickets in the south stand are considerably more than in the fm upper and lower, despite views and facilities being similar if not worse

Does anyone know why season tickets in the south stand are considerably more than in the fm upper and lower, despite views and facilities being similar if not worse Different audience. FM is expected to be families buying a handful of tickets, where you'd expect for some kind of discount. SS is the same type of fan as you'd expect in the KB, so the tickets are naturally around the same as that. On top of that the experience will be deemed better with the atmosphere, which boosts the price. This is a total shot in the dark, but I'd guess tickets in the Liverpool Kop are more expensive than those at the other end.

We have to charge away fans the same price as home fans for similar facilities. South stand whilst shared will always be the same for all.

I sit in the Kilner Bank and I have no interest at all of going in the South Stand, hell would have to freeze over before I went in the South Stand. It would be a crazy decision to hand the Kilner Bank over to the away fans.

It would be a crazy decision to hand the Kilner Bank over to the away fans. money is the key factor..everything else is just secondary...Loads of clubs have a flexible arrangement for away fans in a 'home' stand..the fans that go in there know the score and have to move when large numbers of away fans come ...they can sit somewhere else of course, in another stand, but at the end of the day the club has to maximise incomes for the benefit of the club/team...and ultimately the fans that support that team... You'll get over over it, just as thousands of fans at other clubs have....and tbh at the old leeds rd ground i hung on to the fencing behind the floodlights to watch the replay against wolves in 1961...being as there were 46,000 fans there and i couldn't get to my regular spot on crash barrier 291...was i bothered ? nah ...
