Obviously our current form will continue into next season (after we have won our remaining games.) <--- Too much strong coffee.
Where do we strengthen?
Sign Big Ish
Sign James...

james on a season loan would be great...man Utd have enough left backs Luke Shaw for one at £30m !
I'd sign Miller up too, he seems to have enough energy to play 100 minutes...and upsets defenders..definately worth a punt i reckon.
The key for town though is to bring in quality players who have genuine stamina and a bit of pace...

Don't forget that Powell didn't have pre-season with the players. Hopefully he'll get them fitter next season - we're not going to be the most skilful team on our budget but there's no reason we can't be the fittest. We've got a young squad after all.

Just aim above mid table next year for me, 3 or 4 signings.

Aim for play offs and if we finish top half we'll be happy.

With still 2 games to go only Blackpool and Fulham have conceded more goals than Town's 73, and unless we keep two clean sheets in the remaining games, then it will be the highest number of goals we've conceded since we returned to the Championship.
Since we also conceded 65 last season (8th worst in League) & 73 the season before (3rd worst in League), it's quite obvious to everyone where we should be strengthening, particularly since the 73 we've already conceded this season to date, is currently the third worst in the entire 92 club football league.
Given that Chris Powell is an ex-England defenders, surely he must know what he needs to do to plug the gaps, so lets hope some serious money is made available before next season starts, otherwise we could be on our way back to League One.
And we don't want that do we?

And we don't want that do we? Nobody seems too concerned about conceding four goals against a side that had only managed 3 in their previous five away games. Go into next season with this same defence then its difficult to see how anyone can think we're going to improve. Hudson is the problem for me but im sure plenty wont agree

LB, CB and another RB (unless there's one coming through from the U21's). Also I think we might struggle to hold on to Scanz and Butterfield.

Sign Miller, sign another goalscoring striker, midfield is fine. A new centre back partner for Lynch and a new right back and maybe a new winger as cover for Scannell. Give Gobern a new contract too as cover. Try and get James back too.

There might be one or two (un)professional footballers only 14 miles away from Huddersfield who look likely never to play for their club again and might be looking for a move in the next few weeks. Antenucci anyone? No I didn't think so... but I'd take Austin.

it's not alway the back 4 at fault when we concede...the midfield have defensive duties too...like tracking runners..leaving CB's facing 3 attackers happens too often and no wonder they back track so much. A mistimed tackle when you're last man not only gives away a dangerous free kick, more likely it is a red card too.. We either concentrate on a more defensive formation, maybe by having 2 deep in midfield...which leaves us light up front, (4-5-1) or we sacrifice wing players (Bunn and Scannell)..I'd rather we concentrate on scoring more goals per season, like instead of 50 odd, maybe 80 odd...oddly, the higher scoring you are the more other clubs tend to fill their teams with defenders...

Better use of subs might be a partial solution. agreed, its clear we look tired at the end of games because we never make subs early enough, plus our first 11 will probably have played more minutes than most because of the lack of subs before the 87th minute.

I haven't seen anything to suggest we are less fit than most teams.

I can see where you're coming from but I'm sure the majority thought the same when we lost Clayton and in Butterfield we've arguably seen a better player. We were saying after the game yesterday that we'd be surprised if there weren't a few clubs in for Butterfield. As for Scannel as good as he's been I don't think he gets enough goals or there is enough end product for him to be sought after by the better teams.

James on a season long loan, and big ish will probably get a contract. Definitely need a right back and another centre back think we are also short of another attacking midfielder love us to go get jed Wallace for that role.

Sign up Miller and James (on a season loan), another centre half and midfielder. Keep Butterfield if possible, as I can see a few teams looking at him in the summer.
In addition not signing Edgar would be as good as a new signing IMO.

lots of the goals we concede are eminently avoidable with the players we already have..
in a much improved attacking performance yesterday we still allowed good finishers free shots by doing the basics wrong..
powell gets that knocked on the head and we may see 20 odd goals against disappear next season..
