No brainer with Miller, get him signed.
Bit more difficult with Gobern, very good last month, has really started to win me around, not a fan at all before. Wouldn't be overly bothered either way but think he's done enough to get a years extension

I personally think Oscar has been showing good performances for a long time, but it's taken a lot of our supporters until recent weeks to see it.
If the wages are right, then sign them both. The pair will be regulars in the team, no question.

I'd extend oscars for another year but I wouldn't give him a new long term contract!

Its clear we are going to operate with a smallish squad, well small for this division, so it makes sense to offer Gobern an extension plus I think Miller has done enough to get a permanent deal, he gives us a bit if beef up front and causes defences plenty of problems.
Signing Gobern up also means we do not need to bring in anymore midfielders, the budget can be used to strengths defence and attack.

I don't know if the chap was being sarcastic about the morons that sit around us, but within 10 seconds someone shouted "Go on yer donkey" when he made a decent run.
Anyway, we should look to keep Miller, whilst Gobern has created a dilemma.

Slightly one sided poll.
No doubt when we do sign them both and they both end up being shit 100% of the posters on here will say we should never have signed them.

The question for both is can we find better players where their transfer fees and wages are the same as just their wages? Unlikely, so keep them both for a year and use the money saved on other areas of the team.

The last few weeks could suggest the attack doesn't really need strengthening either, if we keep Miller and don't lose anyone. That clearly can't be said about the defence. Unfortunately Hudson's legs are shot- yesterday was the most I've noticed it. When he ran for the ball at one point yesterday, it was just like watching Boothy in the Mansfield Play-Off Final.

I remember you saying it a while back. Good call Said Joe Garner was decent, n'all. That makes the Miller call null and void. In fact you need another five good calls to get back to par

Vaughan isn't going to go all season without sustaining injury, so strengthening the attack is probably a must, I'll be disappointed if we don't.

Miller: I would probably offer him another year. He hasnt pulled up trees, but does a job in this division. It will also keep us with plenty of cover should we decide to sell Vaughan.
Gobern: We do not need him for cover but he has been fantastic the last couple of weeks. If we get the fit and hungry Gobern we have seen recently, I would say yes. But I hope he isnt doing a Baldry on us!

It should be a no brainer for the club to sign them both up. 2 of our better players when playing and we would have absolutely no chance to sign better options on free's

Before Gobern's run in the team of late, he had an effect the other times he's played this season. Watford was our first win in a while at the time and the fact that he was playing raised eyebrows. Also came on at Rotherham away, was written off by everyone, picked up an assist. Worth a renewal without doubt.
Miller makes defenders shit their pants when he runs at them, is consistent, and picks up enough goals. Give him one while we're at it, he won't cost much.

Remember when we signed Miller and everyone said he was shit and we're going to get relegated and we should all go support AFC Emley? Ahh good times.
