West Ham fans always strike me as though they will only be happy with a fashionable Mgr or someone who's true East End. Neither of those and your job will be twice as difficult...
Don't particularly like London clubs in general though there are one or two exceptions who are more humble than some of the others...

So we lose Bournemouth & Watford, replaced by Hull & Burnley.
We also lose Wigan & Blackpool, replaced by Preston & MK Dons...
Should be a decent & less expensive yr for those fans travelling next season?

I so want Norwich to stuff Boro tomorrow and I think they will... I can't bear to see that smug dullard Clayton larging it up after a Boro win

Like to see lads whove served us well do well for themselves. Don't understand any animosity to him. He came here, was a great player for us for a couple of years, particularly the 2nd one when he was our best player and then he moved on and we made a massive profit.

There supporters however are another bunch who seem to think they have a divine right to be in the premiership.

I'm surrounded by Boro supporters in Harrogate, Phil... they certainly believe they are a cut above any other club in the Championship and that they are really a Prem side. They always fail to hide their patronizing attitude towards us, and they truly believe they are slumming it at this level. To be fair, the rest of the fans around me support Leeds... and they feel exactly the same! Think I'm gonna move. Up The Canaries!

I wasn't aware of particular animosity towards Clayton... As you say he served us well as a player .. I made the mistake of following him on twitter for a while and being subjected to all the "team ac" bollocks.. he's just not my cup of tea .. I'm allowed not to like someone yeah ? Up the canaries !

This coming from fans whose club have one League Cup to show for all their endeavours during their entire league membership. Shame they are still in Yorkshire...can't we jettison them again?

There was considerable animosity towards him for his perceived laziness and supposed up and down form until our less discerning fans eventually saw the light. I was his biggest fan as a player whilst he was with us. However, he's gone now, he's no longer ours. Couldn't give a hoot where he plies his trade or if he personally makes it to the Premiere league. I'm sure he's not particularly bothered about where we play our football. Up The Canaries!

Reece, and captainblack, my family must be real outliers then 'cos they usually go on about how crap they're playing. It's possible that it's because they support Town a bit too, so they've had a lot of hubris knocked out of them !!!! Well today should help the rest of them in their rehab to reality then

Course you are ted. If youve taken against him for some character flaw from social media, then fair enough. Just that if it was based on his time at Town as a player then it didn;'t make much sense to me. Anyway, you'll be happy with how it went.
