Unlikely to happen, did well for us but Millers here now. Being fit for September suggests he won't get a proper pre season in, could struggle next season for full fitness.

Too big a risk considering the salary he'll (likely) want

Broken leg not so bad, but a cruciate (?) is a bad injury, late in his career, I don't think he'll play to any great standard again.

No chance. Hope I'm wrong but I'd be surprised if he plays another 20 professional games in his career.

Obviously he's past his best he's at the end of his career but he wasn't rubbish he was exactly what we needed at the time and even if he wasn't having one of his best games he could still occupy defenders with his presence leaving space for others. Aside from his performances his work rate, attitude and experience were a real plus for us and he helped a lot with other players, Scannell for example in particular he was always going over to him during games giving him a high five and having a quick word and whilst it might not seem like much it coincided with Scannell being unplayable at times.
Going forward I wouldn't have him back though, I hope he gets himself fit and back playing but we don't need him now like we did last season.

Grant was the catalyst for turning our season around in my opinion, but I still wouldn't have him back. Miller is a better option looking forward, with the bonus of lower wages and less injury fears.

I hope that Grant, knowing he has this "lad's" number, now organises a prank call back pretending to be an ITV employee and offering him a shed load of money to appear on a TV show.

I've got a pretentious (but nice) German friend who appeared on that TV programme a couple of years ago where each of a group cooks dinner for the others on a competitive basis. Forgot the name of the programme (Frank Worthington appeared in a "celebrity" version). She is a good cook and did well. When it was all over another friend called from Hollywood and got her to accept a part in a movie alongside Meryl Streep. She never quite understood the British sense of humour.

I think its bad taste considering the poor blokes career as he knows it is probably finished

I think it's in poor taste also. Exposing private information in such a public way about a bloke who has been unlucky with injuries is not funny.

He was great when he was playing for a new deal with somebody , be it us or anyone else watching. But as soon as Rosler was sacked by Wigan and he knew hed be able to go back there at the end of his loan and probably get back in their side, he effectively downed tools and stopped trying IMO, and didn't warrant being picked. It was ironic he picked up such a bad injury in that last game at Rotherham because up to that incident he couldn't have looked more half-assed and uninterested.

Don't recall him ever looking half arsed. Off form maybe, but always committed.

The Holt we had in those first few games was charging about closing defenders down and fighting for possession like his life depended on it. He gave defenders a torrid time. That attitude went out of the window after Rosler got the sack. IMO the difference was obvious. He looked a totally different player in terms of application and commitment. Thats why his 'form' dipped.
In some ways I don't even blame him. It had become a weird situation where he found himself playing for a club that ( it looked at the time) would be a direct rival in a survival race with the club he would be playing for from january onwards. It must have occurred to him that he could be earning us points that ultimately send him and his club down to league 1 !!

I take your point but to be fair I put it down to him simply running out of steam a bit having hardly played for months before he came to us. Did a great job for us IMO.......not just what he did himself but the belief he gave the likes of bunn, scanz etc was impressive.....that said he bloody should have been good on his wages!
