2) Simon Grayson . A great manager at league one level but can't manage in the championship

3) Beckford kept us up with his 9 goals in an entire season.

Despite scoring WINNING goals against Birmingham, Wolves (home), Barnsley, Charlton, Wolves (away), Millwall and scoring against Barnsley on the final day we'd have been fine without Beckford.

Ross Wilson picked the team. Actually, 99% of anything said about Ross Wilson.

Did the other 45 goals not help us avoid relegation then, just the 8 League goals Beckford got over a whole season? Take the final game as an example, Beckford scores first, then Vaughan, but Beckford's goal got us the point right? Up until the last 5 games, he had only hit the net 3 times. That's the main reason we were in the relegation battle in the first place. Injury, attitude, fitness, whatever, 3 goals up until April from the star striker is not good value for high wages.

If the penalty* taker just hit it straight down the middle he'd score every time. * Or it's pronounced "pelanty" if you're Chris Waddle

Suppose we can add this as well. Jermaine Beckford has an attitude problem. Barcelona are weak in defence and can be got at from set pieces.
