Could Admin please sticky this thread at the top of the Prediction League forum and place all other threads except for the Hull City one into the archive? Cheers
1. Predictions to be submitted by any acceptable method by the kick off time shown in the official prediction thread title, by reference to the recorded time of the post/message/email/Tweet. 2. The acceptable methods by which predictions are submitted are - By making a post in the official prediction thread on DATM - By sending a PM on DATM to the organiser - By email to datmpredictionleague@gmail.com - By sending a Tweet or direct message to @pred_League on Twitter 3. (Slightly) late entries will only be accepted in exceptional circumstances and at the discretion of the organiser, whose decision is final and no appeals will be considered. 4. You may change or edit your prediction once made, but the latest version in place at the kick off time shown in the official prediction thread title will be considered final. 5. The scoring will be as follows - Correct score (e.g. you predict a 3-1 win for Town and we win 3-1) – 5 points - Correct result without correct score (e.g. you predict a 3-1 win for Town but they win 2-0) – 2 points - Correct number of Town goals scored without correct score (e.g. you predict a 3-1 win for Town but they win 3-0, draw 3-3 or lose 4-3) – 1 point - Correct goalscorer for Town (includes no goalscorer where you predict a nil score for Town, and ‘own goal’ if you wish) – 1 point for each 6. The winner will be the predictor with the highest score after the last game of the season. If scores are tied, position is decided by average points scored per prediction, then by alphabetical order (blatant username changes to exploit this rule will result in disqualification). Note It is acknowledged that the above scoring system is not perfect and slightly favours high-scoring predictions which allow multiple goalscorer predictions which in turn give a better chance of scoring points. Rather than abandon an aspect which adds to the competition, players are reminded that the Prediction League is intended as a fun and friendly competition in which players make predictions that they genuinely believe have the greatest likelihood of being the correct score, and are kindly requested to make their predictions in that spirit.
