I don't expect us to win at home every game, however I think we should expect a little more than 1 shot on target in 93 minutes and us going one upfront with 20 minutes to go. Fred, im assuming you were at the game Was it a poor display? Did you think that the substitution was one which signalled Powell was going for the win, or happy to consolidate? My take (for what its worth) is that it was a good display against a team who will challenge for top 8 . Though we desperately need at least a front man The substitution took into account that wells was having a shocker, and it led to the most concerted spell of offensive play of the match. I just cant see how powell can be slagged for this me neither but thats football

We perhaps might if we get our subs right!. Wells off, right move as he did nothing yesterday (and I like Wells). Scannel going off though, my Carlisle supporting friend who has no agenda (unlike my good self!) just turned to me in utter bemusement. He was really impressed with him and saw us winning the match through something created by his industrious attacks down that flank. Fair play for bringing Carayol and Lolley on who both looked lively but surely a defensive Midfielder should have given way leaving us with Scanz, Carayol, Lolley and Miller. Carayol providing amo one side, Scanz the other with Lolley and Miller down the middle. Mind you, this attacking approach and going for it and the three points could leave us open to losing the match and being caught on the break. Oh, wait a minute........ Powell can't win though, can he? Gets slated if he doesn't make subs & slated when he does!
Your Carlisle supporting mate obviously didn't realise Scannell is just getting over a hamstring injury.
By the way Morley, your 'agenda' comes across loud & clear!
Well Rocky, he bowed his head when he seen his number come up and if that is a Player injured. Can we play all our Players when they are injured please!. I am thinking of starting an online Powell fan club, will you be the second member?

Powell's post match comments; 'We knew we would only get an hour out of Sean Scannell as he is clearly not right up to speed. We had to take him off or there could be long term damage' - obviously you know better, as you do with everything else that goes on at the club. As for your last point, I try take a balanced view on Powell, rather than be on his case 24/7.

Don't think anyone is taking an unbalanced view of Powell, its just crying out for us to be more positive. Its painfully obvious what is wrong for me, we have 4, yes bloody 4 wingers on the books Hammill, Scannell, Lolley and now Carayol but he persists with 4-3-3, I'm sure we would see more from Wells and Miller in a 4-4-2 formation, play to the players strength for god sake Powell man. He isn't really helping himself, the players are better than he gives them credit for. Whilst I'm on it as well, drop bloody Smith and stick Whitehead in there.

If Scannell is just getting over a hamstring injury then why do we persist in playing him when we have a fit and raring to go Joe Lolley on the bench? Joe looked class when he came on and even made a couple of key interceptions outside his own area!! Does Powell have his favourites? It certainly seems so!

I think that's what Carayol was brought in for. I wasn't expecting him to start yesterday, but hopefully they can get him sharper soon. Don't forget he's had zero game time with Boro this season. Certainly showed yesterday what he can bring to the table. Oh I think there are plenty on here who take an unbalanced view on CP!

Yeah, I don't know what's going on with Lolley. Said before he should have taken Scanz off for him v Blackburn & it was disappointing he didn't start v Brighton. Some have talked about his limitations in that he always cuts inside & maybe that's holding him back? I really don't know. If Scanz & Carayol play wide & we play with 2 strikers, I can't see how Joe can get into the team & that's why I said Town need to decide where they're going to go with him.
