Hello everyone We started off, just two of us, the Retford Terriers, but wanted to become part of something bigger. I was inspired and encouraged to start an East Midlands group by the following people, Dean Hoyle for his passion and honesty, Bob, Paul and Lee of Southern Terriers for their enthusiasm and commitment to their group and Ian the Chair of Huddersfield Town Supporters Association, who wants Town supporters groups all over the UK. The arrival of David Wagner at Huddersfield Town brought a new and exciting future for our club and it was also this which motivated me to start our group. So far we have found around 35 town fans in the East Midlands, but would love many more to join us. Please email Mandy at htsa.eastmids@gmail.com with your location if you live in Notts, Leics, Derbys, Lincs, Northants or Rutland and want to be part of our group. Our twitter account is @emidsterriers. Please follow us and let me know your location so you can be added to our list. We meet up with Southern Terriers before many away games, and also town fans that still live in West Yorkshire (yes there are plenty ). It is a great way to socialise and meet new people before the match, and means you never have to go to a game alone. Our first East Midlands away games will be Nottingham Forest in February and Derby County in March, when we hope we will be joined by many East Midlands Town fans before the match. Further details to follow via Twitter/email. Mandy

Met you briefly in the pub before the QPR game, Mandy. I was stood talking to Richard (Artysid) for a while. If I see you in Canalside on Saturday I'll say hello. Glad you seem to be enjoying it!

Canal house good choice for real ales and sort of en route for city ground. Navigation and Vat & Fiddle also around that neck of the woods for good beers.

It's a shame that the game isn't closer to the end of the season – outside the Canalhouse is a cracking place to be when the weather gets better (if it ain't too busy).
I live on the border of Sneinton & St Ann's – will I be accepted into the group or will I be deemed too rough?

Went there a couple of seasons ago when it was a warm sunny day and there were loads of Town fans outside. Great atmosphere but it was August. Dont know the areas of Nottingham, but everyone is welcome to join

How far is the canal house from the ground ? Is it walkable ?

Canalhouse is about 15 min walk to ground but coming over trent bridge you then have another walk round to the away end as they usually block off the quickest route round. Not sure if I'm going to get to canalhouse now, I now have something else on from 10:30-12:30, might get there for a quick one before setting off for ground.
