Could LC be the man to take his beloved magpies back to the promised land? Think there is more chance of him taking the other Magpies (Notts Co) to the promised land than Newcastle to be fair.

I've never heard the conference called the promised land before.
But I'm certain he could.

He made a mess of the play off final at Old trafford when he played one lad upfront. He was just ahead of his time.

I firmly believe he is the right man for the job, just not one as a football manager..

Crap manager. Can't cope without a chequebook and a friendly chairman. Will fail wherever he goes. Sorry, Nick.

Nick, no-one is doubting his enthusiasm, his drive and his self-belief. It's just his ability that doesn't impress me. Which of those four qualities would you say is the most important for a manager?

So he lost the first leg boo hoo, it's only 1-0 and there's a lot of football left to play.

Won't make him a good manager if he does. It should keep him in a job for a few more months though.

So he lost the first leg boo hoo, it's only 1-0 and there's a lot of football left to play. it might have helped if either team had played some football in the first leg? on a par with the wimbledon v accrington games, standard wise.. clarks master plan will be to get a goal and then sit back and hope the opposition dont score whilst his team get another from absolutely no real attacking intent, whilst he shouts and postures, a lot..

Good to see he still stands there waving his arms around like a lunatic. The players must just look at him and wonder what the hell he is trying to communicate
