Wow 3 threads on this shit, are they the new lids? Most of the discussion on here is about ex players, ex managers, Leeds or Bradford. 1st person that invents a "travel back in time" machine, better open his first shop in Huddersfield.

Wow 3 threads on this shit, are they the new lids? Plus a 17 page thread on their season ticket sales. Time for the admins to merge all in to one before we are accused of being obsessed by them.

I think its more likely..
'Bradford City taken over the Germaines'
a large ex traveller
family from Holmewood who have more big fucking dogs, transit vans and relatives than other 'interested investors'...
The Board were made an offer they couldn't refuse in a back alley near the ground at about 0230hrs yesterday morning..
Police were powerless as the 'travellers liaison officer' for the force is on annual leave and nobody else wanted to touch the job with a fucking barge pole..
The elder of the family was spoken to be reporters earlier today re his 'takeover' and he stated 'he had guns and fucking knew people so fuck off'..
The league will be considering the submitted paperwork re the families 'suitability' when the thumbprints, curry sauce and something looking like blood has dried on it..

Purchased for just over £6m.
Not bad to say we've made profits for 6 consecutive years.

It amazes me that bradford fans come on here giving it the big un, their club is a joke they are the laughing stock of West Yorkshire, league one cannon fodder.

I would be very suprised if these foreign investors have a lot of cash.
Bradford aint a club or a place that is going to attract rich foreign investment and never will be.
Small unheard of club, no history, no decent assets,a small fanbase and would easily be in the champions league places if there was a league going for the biggest shithole in England.
Browsed there forum and quotes such as 'if we get a new stadium it needs to be 60,000' and 'we have more potential than man city as they have man utd to compete with'. Classics.

A good post, but that last paragraph just made my day. I might take a look when I get chance. They're more deluded than Leeds.

'potential' its now almost a dirty word being used in the context of city having a requirement for an Emirates size stadium..although 60 thousand paying a quid a go might a quarter fill it, who the hell is going to pay for it?? can they put home and away support together in the bottom of one stand for the big home games in div 1?? the echoes would be interesting, sort of whale song like music in the background to the match??? the amount of ball boys required could be a problem as well..? the benefit being that in 10 years time they could sell off the majority of the plastic seats as 'never been used'??

Heard half a story on this awhile back. It's not really a "consortium" as such, the money comes from the one German, who purportedly has funds of £100m (less than Hoyle, and obviously this won't all be liquid or accessible or even intended to be part of potential 'investment' in Bradford). He will stay in Germany and has no interest or background in football. Fronting the team in the UK will be a BOSNIAN (papers will still call this a German consortium), who has knowledge of football business admin through a brief (1 year) period as a scout plus he had a role I can't remember at a German football club. Will be an interesting one to watch...as things stand with a playing budget of circa £3m Bradford would disappear like Yeovil should they get promoted, losing to Millwall is probably the best thing that could happen to them in context of this takeover, whilst they remain at a level where ~£1m keystone investment could actually make a difference. Probably the club that Cellino should have bought.

Why would a group of german footballing men rolling in it invest in english football never mind Bradford. Some looney arabs, russians etc investing in an english side as there little play toy maybe. Im looking forward to seeing how this one unfolds as they genuinely think there the next man city judging by the forum ffs.

Because Bradford City are a very good looking club to invest in. No debt (including low to zero director loans), no real assets other than the Football League share, therefore exchanged at a relatively low price (, seeming continuous steady year on year progression such that the play offs is now really the bottom level of their barometer of expectation. Get promoted and stay up without making massive changes and theyll be profiteering to £2m+ a season, suddenly the club will be 'worth' £15m-£20m and because they are investors rather than Dean Hoyle, theyll quickly move the club on to someone prepared to put bigger money in to push to the next level.

I may have spotted the flaw in that plan! I agree. But the potential return probably makes it a decent risk. Lets face it, thats pretty much what Town have done (and a big reason as to why we've been in bottom third every year). The difference is we did it from a negative monetary starting point in League 1, and with crowds at a low ebb. Any financial gain we've had from being a division higher has just been swallowed into the ongoing money pit. Bradford City arent at a low ebb, and IF they could get promoted, they could probably double their playing budget and still turn a profit because of the extra solidarity money etc. (doubling budget would still leave them in a difficult place though).
