Some of the comments from Brighton fans about him: Mooy has been superb tonight, 2 unbelievable no-look reverse passes and a brilliant shot off the post stand out
Mooy has completely dominated us and he hasn't even jogged yet.Any of our Australian friends watch the match? Yep, I caught the whole match and I have to say on that and a few other perfomances that the Terriers are good enough to win automatic promotion. I dont think there's any side in this league that you can't beat and right now you would knock off a lot of Premier League teams. So all the best for the rest of the season and hope to see you in the Premier League next season with Mooy as a permanent signing. By the way who is /are Brighton's gun players? The way they were completely outplayed in this match I couldn't say any of them impressed me. Hopefully they collapse from here on in. That fullback of theirs should have been off in the first few minutes, the referee completely bottled that one. Knockaert is their danger man. I forgot h was even playing last night. Mooy is bloody amazing, but he's able to do that in part due to the incredible work that Jonny Hogg does next to him. I wouldn't have any other players in the Championship, or even lower PL, over those two in my side. Fucking warriors.

Refs in the Championship tend to be more lenient than in the Prem, but when he kicked the ball away after crunching Wells he should have taken a walk. His head had completely gone. And he's their captain!! Knockaert is probably the best winger in the league, I think last night is the first time he's not ripped us to shreds when he's played. Also their best centre mid Stephens was out injured and he's one of the best at this level (although a level or two below Mooy). Dunk is probably the best centre half but had a shocker last night, and Murray is a very good goalscorer.

Any truth in the rumour, that I'm starting, that Mooy admitted he gave the ball to Brighton for their goal to make the game 'more interesting'?
Pretty unprofessional if true but I admire his confidence

Two games in 4 days for those of us overseas and a chance to soak up the Mooy magnificence. I am thinking that we have to get promoted this year, because those Aussie boots are going to take some filling. I feel the same way about Brown and Palmer as well.

Hi guys just wondering if mooy played against QPR, if so how did he go?? Cheers from AUS I went to QPR and yes A.M. did play the full match, I didn't think he was quite as good as we've come to expect, probably due to 3 tough games, with 3 wins earned since Thursday and the fact that QPR pushed us so hard, but he is a top quality player, a tremendous asset to our club and is arguably the best player in the division, I'm sure fans at other clubs would disagree but it's all about opinions. He will certainly be among the front runners for our player of the season award in a few months and in my 40 odd years watching the only time I remember a loan player winning that was goalkeeper Stevie Harper from Newcastle. If we can reach the promised land I can see him extending his stay, if not..........

13 FEB 2017 - 4:06PM EXCLUSIVE: Onlooker Mooy comes to terms with FA Cup exclusion Aaron Mooy has reconciled himself to being a spectator not an instigator this weekend as he sits out the dream FA cup tie between Huddersfield Town and parent club Manchester City. By Dave Lewis 13 FEB 2017 - 4:06 PM UPDATED 2 HOURS AGO The Australia midfielder felt a of excitement sweep over him as he watched the draw for the fifth round seemingly offer him the chance to give City boss Pep Guardiola a first hand impression of the prowess which has earned him four player-of-the-month plaudits this season and a cascade of other accolades. But within 24 hours, Mooy's hopes were dashed when City confirmed they would exercise their right to bar the loanee from lining up against them at the John Smith's Stadium. "I actually saw the draw live on TV and it came down to the last four teams, which were Chelsea Man city, Huddersfield and a team I can't recall," he said. "When we came out of the hat playing City I couldn't believe it. "On the day of the draw I actually didn't know if I would be allowed to play or not and I was thinking to myself 'this will be a good game to play in'. "I heard the next day I wouldn't be allowed to play... they told me pretty quickly. Prior to that I had no idea. "Of course I'd love to have been able to play but there's nothing I can do about it because it's a part of the loan deal between the two clubs. "I'll just have to watch and I've been able to put it behind me now. "I am just very grateful to be a part of the City Football Group." Mooy attracted an $11 million bid from a rival Championship club during the January window, which was summarily discussed by City chiefs. Such approaches are vindication of the form he has shown this season, pulling the strings for the Terriers with his passing range, calmness on the ball and ability to read the play. Mooy, though, says simply: "It's always good when something like that happens, it means you are doing something right. "But you don't know exactly what's happening with that stuff... I just try and focus on my training. I don't let let it get in my head too much." City have an appointed scout following Mooy's every match and reporting back to HQ. "I was speaking to him recently because we've had a few big games of late and he watches them all and tells he how I went," he added. "It's been all good and they are happy with how I have been playing." After four successive wins, the Terriers are third - just six points off an automatic promotion spot - going into Wednesday's (AEDT) trip to rock-bottom Rotherham. Mooy has been instrumental in the rise and rise of coach David Wagner's fairytale promotion chasers but remains wary of the division's ever shifting sands. "Yes, we are looking good at the moment but things can change fast in football and it's all about concentrating on the next game," he warned "We've had some big results recently but it's a long season and we just have to keep looking forward. "There is maybe a little bit of expectation there now but right from the start of the season the boss told us to believe that anything is possible, and that's what we have been doing. "We just want to win as many games as we can and see how far we can go. "We started the season really well and that gave us a lot of confidence. "We had a bit of a dip but have got through that now and we're on a good run, and we have keep that going." "It would be amazing if Huddersfield got promoted... it's in your head a little bit but there's still a long way to go and things can change fast." Mooy isn't worrying about where he will be next season: recalled by City; sold to Huddersfield; loaned or sold elsewhere. "I am sure there will be a time when everything will worked out and discussed," he said. "It will be about where Huddersfield end up, how I did and those sorts of things... but that's a while away yet."

Might be hinting what a few of us suspect- that if we were to go up Mooy staying with us would be a strong possibility??

I thought that at first but I don't think you can read too much into it, taking the rest of the sentence into account maybe City have said that he'll be partly 'judged' on how we do as a team, because if he wants to play for City he should be comfortably the best midfielder in the league and therefore he should be elevating our team into a far stronger position. Which he has been!

Does anyone seriously think we won't have the likes of Mooy, Palmer, Brown or any of our current loanees if we got promoted? Really? I'd say there's a 99% chance we get them back if we wanted them, which surely we will bar possibly Ward.
Get promoted and we get them back either by purchase or loan. We'd probably only be able to buy Kachunga and Palmer though.
City will loan Mooy to see how he does in the premier league, why would they ever loan him to any other club when he's already settled with us.
Same goes for the others, young players with their first proper loan club that they got promoted after a long season. Why would you send them anywhere else when you could see how they get on in the premier league at a club they know? Most championship teams would take them whereas premier league teams want proven quality so interest would probably be more limited than you think.

City aren't going to keep loaning Mooy out forever, it's not like he's a young player. If they don't think he will make it with them, they will sell him for a tidy profit this summer

Involved in all 3 goals. Even when not at his best, he still influences the outcome.

I'd imagine City would want to have a look at him in pre-season and then make the decision to either sell or keep. A slim chance they might loan him to another Prem team but can't really see that at his age.

Involved in all 3 goals. Even when not at his best, he still influences the outcome. His part in the winner was fantastic - getting stuck in and winning back the ball out towards the left wing in the 92 minute. He has silky skills but great fitness and battling qualities. Might be bollocks but I thought I read somewhere that City turned down an £11 million bid from a Championship club late in the window?

I think you may be being a bit optimistic there even if you do go up - Man City might decide to cash in and some mid-table team like West Ham are never shy about splashing the cash and also paying big wages...eg: Snodgrass.

See there is an international break coming up at the end of March. Good rest for some of ours but see Mooy will have a tough schedule playing in Iraq and Aus in a short period of time and then getting back here.

It will most likely be in Qatar or Oman or somewhere like that I'd expect.

He's currently taking a mini-break in Blackpool, posting pic's on Instagram there was clearly one with a large tower in the background anyway. He also posted a pic posing in front of the Mona Lisa so it has to be Blackpool right
