Mooy needs a bigger shirt or he's been having too much roast beef and Yorkshire pudding.

Certainly was. I think Danny Higginbotham ejaculated prematurely in the commentary box. So did I. How the hell did you get in the commentary box? Apart from to make Glennon sound intelligent.

Interested to see what the fan reaction to this signing is so I joined up to your forum. A little context to go with my opinion: I am an Australian football fan of 26 years and have been a watcher of English football for the past 20 years. I have watched a lot of championship/league one these past 11 or so years due to my team, Leeds playing there.
There is a huge amount of fanfare from Australian supporters and media regarding Mooy. Most of it is warranted, some of it is over the top. I am one who tends to sit on the more conservative side of things when making statements about a player. He is certainly our National Teams most in form player at the moment. If any of you managed to see the recent friendly against England, he was judged by many (both Aus and English) commentators as the best midfielder on the park. If you get a chance to re-watch that match and have a closer look at him you will get a better idea of the sort of player he is. He recently dominated our A-League for the past two seasons. Along with Tom Rogic he is the best Australian player to come out of the A-League in it's 11 years of existence. His greatest asset is his passing range. He has an uncanny ability to create time and space for himself and is able to regularly pick a pass and unlock opposition defences. He is also excellent from the set piece/corner and chips in with a goal from outside the box from time to time.
He is certainly a late bloomer. A few years back I didn't rate him at all. He was being played as a defensive mid and to me just seemed to be the average A-League standard player. Even after his first stand out season in 14/15 I was dubious of the fanfare. It has only been lately with his performances with the National Team that has made me stand up and take notice. I urge you to check out his highlights online and get excited! I think Aaron Mooy will be a tremendous signing for your football club. He will take time to adjust to the Championship, but if, as I suspect your team likes to play good, passing football than he will thrive and so will HTAFC.
Good luck for the coming season. Just gonna leave my post from July last year.... Great to see Aaron has done well for you guys. One point that may be worth considering. If Huddersfield goes up and looked at making Mooy's move permanent it would be smart to do it before the confeds cup in June. A few decent performances there and the demand and therefore price for him will surely go up. All the best for the playoffs!

Heavily linked to Sunderland for next season, He'd be better staying here.

Think he will be going back to City. Lots of players at City grown old eg Toure, Zabaleta, Clichy. I think City will take a look at Mooy in pre-season and see if he's ready

Granted that may change, but for now I think mid table PL would be his level.

Have you told Dave yet? Don't need to, it's his policy. The only time we've really rotated was over winter when he effectively created a mid season break over three or four games to allow everyone to recover and rejuvenate...plus the cup games for the extra rest. Other than that, there has been little strategic rotation as such...just the odd game where we've had to respond to illness or injury. He made a mistake against Burton and Wigan at home where he thought he could get away with it playing a weaker XI to rest players. which he won't repeat with the added significance of the upcoming games. Nobody in a blue and white shirt looked tired last night...although I have a sneaking suspicion Billing may miss out at the weekend based on signs I saw in the closing 20 mins or so. I simply don't have time to trawl though all the old posts, just to bump something like this.

I see our Aaron is doing extremely well for Huddersfield which I am happy for him and you guys. CFG had a top 50 players out on loan and guess who rated in as number 1? You probably already guessed: Aaron Mooy! What does it mean if you guys end up outside of the top 2? Is it the the 3rd team up until the 6th have a play off? What advantage do you have if you end up 3rd?

The winners of those two ties play in a one off final at Wembley, where the winner is promoted. Funnily enough in our previous play off campaigns we've never lost an away leg game, but never won a home leg game.

Yes cos the bastard ref didn't give us a penalty for a blatant handball that would've squared it up

How many play off games including finals have we actually played in?
Is it 16? Or more?
Has any other club played in 4 finals all at different venues?
