Can't argue with that. Wednesday looked quicker and far more threatening when they broke. They were also very adept at closing the game out at the end too.

Alot of empty seats in the Wednesday bit today, but not a bad turn out for the 2nd biggest club in Sheffield.

Both teams were piss-poor. Ward did not have a single save to make.

We lost at home to you lot, no disgrace in that. Caught us on an off day today, and took your chance so fair play.
It would bother me more if we'd lost this season 0-2 at home to L666s - oh hang on a minute.

If one team is chasing a game then any saves made by their keeper are irrelevant and don't count? Had we gone and equalised you wouldn't be saying it was irrelevant.

The better side won. Ohh forestieri... Not really. You defended well but didn't create much with good passing/movement. You were actually very direct. You beat us with a soft penalty but it was a chess match of a game that didn't deserve a winner. You got one, so credit for that, but you hardly outplayed us. We played into your hands with slow passing, and you did defend well, but I didn't come away from the game thinking we'd been done by a great side playing superb football. More that we'd been old manned by a well-coached side who are solid but not spectaclar.

Both teams were piss-poor. Ward did not have a single save to make. Another one who can barely have been in a attendance over the last forty-five years if that was 'piss poor' from us today. Get yourself a sense of balance... less of the dramatics, eh?

Get yourself a sense of balance... less of the dramatics, eh? We have lost all our 3 games 1 - 0 - to two deflected shots and a penalty. Unfortunate, but teams are very closely matched in this division, although not in financial terms. This is quite an unbelievable start.

I could imagine a neutral would have been far from impressed in terms of entertainment though.

Wages should be with-held. Its supposed to be entertainment. There cannot beany "highlights" on TV, there were none. I learnt a whole lot today.

I 'learnt' that that after only twelve games some fans have become ridiculously over-expectant of a club that finished 19th only last season, never mind 1976.

FFS, some piss taking Wednesday fan starts a thread off on our forum to take the piss as there was the match thread that could have been used if he was genuine (we know this particular individual isn't).
The thread should have been locked, deleted, whatever and instead he has managed to get Town fans arguing amongst themselves!.
Wrong.

Thought the first half was high quality and entertaining. We played some lovely stuff at times up to the edge of the box. Think the international break was a disadvantage to us this time. You could see that Wendies had thoroughly prepared for us. When games start coming thick and fast close together up till Christmas teams won't be able to do that!
