1,900 tickets for us is a bit pathetic really, we gave you 3,200 when you came to us. We could have probably sold your ground out. The ticket allocation have been poor for us this season and we've sold out nearly all of our allocations. I think the only game we haven't sold out was against Wigan when we still took 5,000 away on a Wednesday night. Villa were the most pathetic, they had a stand closed and refused our request for more tickets. Hope your fans respect our town and don't cause bother you big club. I hope for the same.

Why would we make it like a home game for you when we don't need your ticket revenue? No, he has a point. Instead of a ticket swap for season ticket holders to go in the south stand, we should also have a separate one where we can donate our season ticket to a Newcastle fan. It's only fair given they could sell out our stadium. Our already sold-out-for-most-games stadium.

Itsmemick i have enjoyed your posts to date, however you have completely misunderstood Huddersfield Towns position on away allocation of tickets.(or maybe you havent ) I believe we dont actually want to accommodate large numbers of away fans, we dont really want to hear you support your team. We want to place our supporters in the south stand and hear almost exclusive support for Huddersfield Town. I believe our chairman wants to allow/create a home crowd atmosphere above taking extra money from yourselves. Im not sure what the minimum allocation could be, I suspect it might be 1200-1300 I would welcome that and i believe other Town fans would. Its not a hate thing its simply about a home atmosphere being the priority. Also please dont talk about the allocation you give us like its a gift or something generous, its really undesirable to sit miles away from the pitch up in the clouds, it is a truly ridiculous stand (its been said by several other clubs)- but we understand you dont want us to be heard. Thats fine Villa and others probably think the same as us re. away ticket allocation Your chaps should watch it on the TV, its on Sky Times are probably changing some of the little clubs are getting bigger and have principles and maybe will try to fill their own grounds with their own fans. Its not rocket science. Its actually quite nice. Oh and i would drop the "we took 5000 here and 5000 there" its very old fashioned - the fans of the big boys in the premier league laugh at the "great fans, sh*te team" concept, harsh i know but that's what they say. I didn't explain myself very well. I wasn't calling Huddersfield pathetic if anybody thought that I was. The comment was aimed at ticket numbers only. I'm sure at some point you will have had less tickets from other clubs than you needed. Also, I've really enjoyed this season and the fans of other clubs are part of the reason. It was the same the last time we were in the division and it was refreshing. Good you've tried to make amends, or next time we will only give you 190!

Knowing what we know now perhaps our stadium designers should have built the BR stand roof atop Kilner Bank for large away followings. The view would have been similar to yours for away fans. I've sat at the back of that stand and thought that the view was excellent as long as you don't want a close up, I'd pick that view before the seats at the front every day of the week because you can see everything that is going on.

Back to tomorrow, Gayle is fit and travels, I don't expect him to start other than on the bench.

I certainly wouldn't want a front row seat, i'm perfectly happy in my home seat 29 rows back and near central. So no, I don't want a close up, but I am relieved I don't have to climb up fourteen flights of stairs either.

We usually keep about 4,000 tickets for away fans and sell any full blocks that are not sold as long as we have enough time to do so. We don't always sell out games on a weekend and that's usually because we've had tickets returned too late to do anything with them.

I had my season ticket up there and used to run up to get it over with because the climb when walking seemed to take forever and every turn produced another set to climb. After a while I found out that you can get a lift up as long as you're early enough because the numbers wanting to use two lifts is crazy and they tend to keep them for older people close to kick off.

You could see everything that was going on in Sunderland where we were sat.. That's a definite downside to it, you get views down to the coast to your left on a clear day and I watched the fire brigade put out a fire in Walker one half time. Bonfire night is quite good as you can see the fireworks going off all over the East of Newcastle and Gateshead.

Might be hard to shift those all being single seats...but to all intents a full house of around 23,300. and just 1,900 away fans in that figure...Dean's gamble in keeping home fans in the SS has paid of handsomely, we don't have room for 4,000 away fans anymore... The stadium capacity looks to be around bang on for the number of home fans though..not been any turned away this season I don't think. 1,900 tickets for us is a bit pathetic really, we gave you 3,200 when you came to us. I think it's pathetic that you put away fans right up in the gods, but that's for home advantage isn't it? If you don't like it, don't get relegated from the premier league.

The away fans go in the gods for segregation, they were moved to make more seats available because we now only need segregation on one side rather than two. We didn't get relegated because we thought we might like away ticket allocation, we were relegated because we weren't good enough to stay up.

We give Newcastle fans a larger % of available tickets than they gave us (with a far better view) plus those that don't go will be able to watch it on telly, yet their fans think that's unfair?

And we reduced away allocations to allow home fans to go behind the goal and create a better atmosphere which has worked. 1900 is plenty, suck it up.

expect around 23,300 or so, 1,200 short of full capacity due to segregation and the Sky TV 'studio' located in the Kilner south end.
i dare say newcastle could have brought around 10,000 for this if we had the capacity.
Can't imagine the noise in the stadium with the FML full of away fans like Newcastle's and the SS full of the barmy army aka the NSL...
maybe one day ?
