The clubs made a massive mistake bringing loyalty into it. A massive mistake. Surely the idea is to breed loyalty, This one club, everyone pulling together, welcomimg new supporters etc ect and suddenly your not worth shit, Categorised from 1 - 5.... from super supporter to is that some shit on my shoe supporter. Worst thing is, it wont even matter, ill get tickets off someone whos a priority 1... like everyone did for the playoff, so even priority 2 folks have been shat on as well. Poorly conceived system that has obviously caused bad feeling and will be circumvented at will. Every supporter should be treated equally.... fairly and certainly not descriminated against for breeding the next generation of supporters. Id told the youngest he couldnt have a liverpool goalie top, it had to be town, but seen as though my 38 years of support isnt in the loyal category ill get him a liverpool one with ward on. What a crock of shite. Just call him Mr PC haha.

You're a new kid on the block League ladders mate.... theyve never factored them in I'll have watched Town in all 4 divisions come next season and seen some right shite over the last 33 years since I've been going so my priority 1 status is my reward!!! I've been going longer and my first five seasons were in the bottom division .. but in my opinion I deserve a ticket to West Brom no more or less than you or indeed my seven year old who has been going since she was 4 .. loyalty shmoyalty

Annette macaskill @nursehathi 1h1 hour ago @htafctickets if you have had the loyalty refund does that mean you have had a ticket for 10 years?

Agree that P1 and P2 and maybe P3 will take all the tickets and dish them out to who they want.Although West Ham Monday night etc. wont sell out Prob true, so all this moaning and having a go at the club will be for nothing, ha ha I believe you are wrong.. there are so many in the priority groups and supply is limited therefore the ticket holders will more than likely be using the tickets for most of the away games.. the premise that the priority groups 'dont' contain very good numbers of die hard home and away supporters is bollox.. we wont know how many previously or current 'super priority' supporters attended as many away games as some of our 'super away supporters on here' but I think its fair to say the 'die hard' did join the foundation and did buy season cards when we were shit, in goodly numbers.. I know by name a lot and by face a hell of a lot, home and away and foundation members to boot..

I think some people need to choose there words a bit better, seems to be a little smugness with certain people mentioning the whole loyalty and reward stuff. Your at risk of creating a bit of a divide.
I no the club had to do something but dont be terming yourself more loyal or rewarding because youve had a season ticket the past 10 or 3 consecutive years and were a member of B/W foundation or TOT to someone that could of been watching town regularly both home and away over the past few decades in which might include over ten season tickets just not the past ten seasons. I think category twos especially a bit of a pisstake.
I think more should of been put up for ballot. Feel a little bit for the exiled supporters down south etc who might go to majority of aways but will only travel upto hudds a few times a year. But it is what it is.
We have good away support but not what some are making out. The novelty will wear off if we can stay up and the prices will go up so plenty will disapear.

Another thing ... what all this about catering for fans in Australia? One of the reasons I didn't emigrate was the thought of not seeing my beloved team... they're part timers imo HA ha, it does seem odd that Shaun appears more concerned about fans in Australia getting away tickets than fans with over 10 years season cards who aren't in a scheme. Helping fans living abroad to get tickets for the odd home game would seem more sensible. Not that bothered personally, if we get tickets for an away match we want to go to fine, if not that's £150+ saved towards next years holiday, probably won't even try to get one for most matches that are on telly. Seen Town at over 138 grounds but can't prove it, paid cash most of the time. Season tickets is the only fair way the Club can start any priority scheme. If I have one criticism it would be the decision to allow those who payed £20 for ToT priority last season, continued priority this season. Three years S/T + ToT for one year trumping 20 years S/T doesn't seem fair.

My question which I don't see being answered is
"Why have a priority scheme " ?

I give it 3 games before some refer to us as shit (Hi arterrier!) Give me that day on the terrace at York in league two over a soulless atmosphere at the Emirates any day. Would have liked to have gone to Anfield and Old Trafford just to say I've seen us there but hardly the end of the world Great atmosphere at Emirates last time we were there. Town fans usually generate their own atmosphere at away games anyway.

Why bother at all anymore? I'll just wait until we get a decent away cup game, a good old fashioned footy ground with standing terraces and no foreigners. It's all gone tits up these days😁

Its the use of loyalty thats a massive own goal.
Football fans are more likely to change their wife that their team. Loyalty of football fans shouldnt be questioned.
Been able to go and watch is as much about finance, stage of life, ability to get to games be it work, where you live etc etc. NOTHING to do with loyalty.

Just ballot the lot.... your support is worth more than his is wrong. We are all one thing. Town supporters. It wont matter for me. Ill get one for any game i want by playing the system but that will mean someone with a higher priority missing out to someone with a lower priority... totally ridiculous. The Wednesday allocation sold out sharpish and i know at least 5 supporters who went and werent even season ticket holders... thats out of a bus of 18. I don't see why balloting the lot , or first come first serve, would have been more unfair than using home season tickets, shelling out a tenner last year, or having to vacate your seats this year ( that really galls) ... people talk about rewarding loyalty like it's an unquestionable concept. But how do you quantify loyalty ? It's not worth getting het up about Novak.... the club have done what they have done with fair spirit, and are probably emulating most other premier league clubs... but personally I think they've got it wrong, though they ain't going to change it now so get on with enjoying the season and it you really want to go to away games employ some of the guerrilla tactics suggested by our spurs friend A At first I was quite annoyed about the gantry thing as I did think it was being 'over egged' by the club, but if I read things correctly those affected by that move would also have had to be a 'Super Priority' fan in 2016/17 i.e. have also been a BWF, TOT or Patron member to qualify for P1 status ? The numbers meeting both sets of criteria would most likely be very small ?

My question which I don't see being answered is "Why have a priority scheme " ? Because for many games demand will outstrip supply, hence the club would like to reward longstanding committed fans who have watched through many lean years. Its not perfect, but there isnt a system that can be when c10k fans would love to go to man utd, liverpool and we get 3k per game!

Been able to go and watch is as much about finance, stage of life, ability to get to games be it work, where you live etc etc. NOTHING to do with loyalty. its not a massive own goal at all.. its common sense.. this club is ok for a year or two financially.. the 'loyalty' now required will definitely be weighted towards the financial side.. just a fact of life in this business..even more so with a smaller club.. filling the stadium is financially the first move and Dean has done it with a huge discount for fans.. keeping the payers in over the bad times onside was next and they have attempted to do that this season.. He may well need those people in the future, common sense.. The changes to the 'loyalty' system will change given our circumstances in the future. 2/3 seasons of staying here and the finances will be very different and the supporters hopes/dreams/ambitions will change accordingly.. The 'loyalty' was common sense for our first season here, thats all, the system was virtually in place and will sort out the 'bigger games'.. From later in the season to the following one, who knows?? The mixing up of the loyalty word with common sense finance and a sensible approach to a mammoth task is not helping.. We stay up and we may have 20k in the priority group for the following season if Dean is happy that the 'loyalty' has been repaid and the finances are right.. Do I want 50k a month for the academy coming in from the foundation or from Deans 'warchest' the best for the club is the former for now.. We are a well run club with a huge amount thrown at it for now.. We now wish to compete against very, very, very silly money.. every quid counts..every quid from every supporter counts..

3 categories would have been enough.
1. Super priority 2. Priority -existing season ticket holders 3. Regular - new season tickets.
That way the super priority get rewarded and the rest have a bun fight to get tickets. New season tickets bought only for the prem are unlikely to go anyway.

What a crock of shit. A difficult thing for Town to sort out, but all the same they've managed to make a complete fuck up of it. 25 years a season ticket holder?... barely missed a home game since 1979...seen town play on just about every ground in the country?... fuck that.. if only id spent £20 on a silly away membership last season I could have jumped the queue and stood a chance of going to the big prem away days. reward loyalty?? my arse! theyve pissed all over the loyal fans. Give Sue a ring and tell her that, I am sure they will make an exception for you and the 150 that went to Gillingham or wherever.

And it doesn't affect me before someone slings accusations. It does affect me. My 12 yr old son and we have both had season cards for 10 yrs. But when you consider the numbers involved, over 4K will be in that group (10 yrs). I would imagine that would see all tickets eaten up. I'm not sure how many are in T1 and T2 but I imagine it's less than 3k

Im in the super dooper sect and I can swap stories going back to 1966, home and very, very much away.. If I give off an odour of smugness, it was purchased for a lot of time and a lot of money, sorry.. We picked the season that I leave these shores for some years, to get back into the top division little time, massive changes, easiest and already in place pretty much ,system adopted.. will change if we continue our success... move on...

Yeah I agree with this - I think P1 is about as right as they could've done it, but it seems that P2 is more a case of rewarding the expenditure on B&W etc rather than 'loyalty'.

The problem is the system they have put in place to get away tickets is based on home tickets. Having any system categorizes fans and causes division. People are rewarded for how much money they have paid at home rather than how much they have actually followed the team away.
Wouldn't surprise me if at some of the games the away atmosphere is pretty poor with lots of day trippers who don't normally travel away.

Having listened to the Sean Jarvis video before reading the announcement I cant understand how the 10 year club was not in priority 2. What I knew upfront was that many folk would get upset. FB is full of folk slagging the club off. I'd like a clear explanation of the numbers in each priority, to gives us an idea of our chances. I'd also like an explanation of how they are going to implement this. Are they going to add your new status to your login account, if not how are we supposed to know if theyve got you in the correct group or not

I think what they have tried to do in P2 is reward those that had contributed to the club in 1 of 3 ways that gave them priority for away games (similar to what away supporters in the Crystal Palace thread were arguing for). However, I think if you have had a season card for 10 years and never been to away game, but now you want to; that roughly equivalent to 3 years plus away priority.
