True. Although the pic of Mounié in the kit was leaked so maybe we weren't supposed to see it yet. Now it's too late. It's highly unlikely that we got Mounié over for a medical and, whilst waiting for the results, then drive him to Canalside for the kit photo session, and then put it on the new megastore website, and then think oh we'll give him another medical. I know folk are accusing the club of being amateurish (over the kit design & release etc) but c'mon.... Mounié has signed.... he'll be announced at some point soon, to break our club transfer record for the third time in a few days. It's no coincidence that the players have been announced in this particular order Which is fine, but what I'm missing is....what's the actual point??! Staggering them and breaking the transfer record every other day, doesn't materially change ANYTHING does it??? It isnt going to sell a single extra ticket or shirt surely?! Wouldn't it be more impressive to just announce them all in one go if they're completed and go, "well look at that then"?? I'm just not sure whose benefit this all is, other than someone somewhere playing at brand development using supermarket style strategies that don't really apply to football. The rest of the world don't care, these are insignificant, tiny transfers in context of the established Premier League teams. I wonder if the real reason is simply that we're little, and it's difficult for them to get all the words and pictures completed, reviewed and published...so it just comes out as and when they're ready (which is fair enough, at this stage I can think of far better things for the club to be wasting money on!)

There is a rumour on Twitter Mounie failed his medical. True or absolute bollocks? The way it's dragged on there was bound to be a rumour on twitter that he's failed his medical.

The thing is with Twitter, you don't know what is truth and bollocks. I hope he signs but it's odd it's gone quiet. Out of respect for the unexpected passing of the Montpelier president?

Maybe he injured himself putting the shirt on? Perhaps the controversial red button pinged off and caught him in the eye and subsequently he tripped over and concussed himself on hogg's neck?

They dont announce signings to satisfy the need of DATM posters. Millions of things going on behind the scenes - maybe it has something to do with a sponsor, maybe a legal issue, maybe a FIFA issue, maybe a piece of FA paperwork. The club have got 99% of things right in the past few years - stop having a pop and looking for a reason to be negative. If he's announced overnight or on Monday - does it matter? Stop stressing over silly things and enjoy where we are.

No way the club would have put that picture of him up for the kit launch if he wasn't signed.
Will be delayed out of respect for the Montpellier chairman

There is a rumour on Twitter Mounie failed his medical. True or absolute bollocks? 100% true. He failed the rack test. Hogg had to demonstrate the neck extension required of Premier League players and Mounie's neck was far too inelastic by comparison. He's been given an interview at Carlisle United to work on their pricing strategy.

I would think it's the death of the Montpelier president but I would wish trouble would stop being stirred up on Twitter if that is the case. So frustrating.

Aren't we in for another Montpellier player? Respect would be key if so - maybe things aren't as clear cut as they seem?

While simply my own opinion, I would suggest you would be safe using a guideline of 90%+++ of what is on twitter is bollocks

Stop stressing over silly things and enjoy where we are. I'm not stressing and have no need to chill out thanks! I don't care if no signings are announced at all until 3pm vs Palace to be honest. I'm not having a pop or being negative, I'm just joining the discussion, adding my two penneth about trying to understand the various reasons why they might stagger things, pointing out a reason why they might not be able to (and aware of lots of other reasons why things happen and don't happen). My assumption, given you've worded it "stop having a pop...", is that you've some ill conceived notion that I unnecessarily and repeatedly have a go at the club, and take that as your starting position when reading my post. That preconception is mistaken. (I suspect most likely cause of Mounie transfer announcement delay (assuming it is done)) is waiting receipt of international transfer papers, which would be down to his previous club. Chances are they've got more pressing issues on their hands at the moment).

There is a rumour on Twitter Mounie failed his medical. True or absolute bollocks? True but it doesn't put the deal in trouble, just more tests so the medical team can dot the i's and cross the t's.

Death of Montpellier chairman? Waiting for 1st July? Staggering signings so maximum press coverage is achieved for club and or Sponsors? Maybe Mooy had to do today as he needs to get away on a holiday.( Go and rest my son. You deserve it. Grafting away into late June FFS) Any number of reasons but I reckon all is well and will get announced as and when. Another Great day in the life of a Town Fan! UTT

There are a multitude of reasons why it's not been announced but the chance of it being because he's not completed his medical must be last in the queue after the probability he's been arrested as Lord 'Lucky' Lucan. Sending somebody for promotional photos without a completed medical is complete amateur hour, and is certainly not something that our current regime would accept for one minute.

It's no coincidence that the players have been announced in this particular order I find it pretty ridiculous that they would have a signing like this completed and not announce it at a press conference just so they could break the transfer record again the day after like its some kind of game. I think the media would cotton on pretty quickly too.
