At the risk of repeating myself, the answer to this conundrum has been there all along. Ooh-ra Ooh-ra Moo-nee-ay Over the hills with the swords of a thousand men. Fits like a glove, will look and sound fkn amazing whether in the stadium or watching on Sky. One of the best songs of the 80s, hands down. It simply has to happen. In true DATM fashion, there have been some truly awful suggestions and I wouldn't expect anything less. Tenpole Tudor once played the old sports centre in Huddersfield.

And to think people have continuously questioned Dean Hoyle's financial commitment, balls and desire to really give it a go. He's bided his time, invested very shrewdly to give his side a shot at the big time. Now he's made it he's going for it in a big way. Build while you're on top. We've got one of the uk's best business strategists and inspired leaders in charge of our club. He's taken Huddersfield Town into a new era of glory days.

Except I don't think people were questioning Dean's financial commitment, it was more an argument between posters on how much we would spend. It was about a change of mindset, just getting your head around the amount of money involved was hard for some to contemplate. This is a big statement of intent, TBH I couldn't see Dean getting here and not giving it a fair crack, his emotion in the penalty shootout was the dead giveaway. Go Dean Hoyle!!!

Some have questioned Hoyle for years. Not that he'll care. He'll be having the time of his life. Imagine rebuilding a team and a business so well that you can now buy premium European footballing talent. Dean's very own championship manager experience.

Craig, if I had the time, I could ressurect at least one damning thread. that I have personally been involved in (had a spat with others) where the shit management of Chris Powell was put squarely and firmly at the door of Dean Hoyle and a lack of investment. I repeatedly maintained we had the Players to be much better than we were quality of football wise (we had some superb Players) and didn't need major investment in the squad. It had nothing to do with Hoyle, Powell's failings. Dean Hoyle absolutely was questioned on his financial commitment under the tenure of Powell and held responsible by some.

Hi MT, I guess I was describing the latest interactions on here so you would be quite right about past behaviour. Maybe some are eating their pie as we speak. I would also say others probably have a short memory and forget that they even thought those things once upon a time. Personally I thought that Dean would have a crack but then some got in my mind saying there would be no way Dean would spend £10m+ on a player. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for him and his family. I can only imagine the exciting conversations going on in his household, especially with his sons! UTT

I always thought there was a good chance he d invest more when he thought we had a chance of aiming at the play offs at least and not surprised now we re here hes investing much bigger amounts to try and keep us here. But let s remember it s out of a £170 M we got for getting promoted OK it s in installments but the banks know we are getting it which is the main thing and lets not forget that while we also need a few more signing to give us a really good chance at staying up what we will be paying will probably still be the lowest in the premier league which maybe means we ll still find it hard to stay up or just that other clubs haven t spent as wisely as they ve overspent but one things for sure we have real supporter like us in charge who s also a great businessman because he s using the money to try to keep us up but also knows that these players could be signed by others for large fees if we go down if we stay up they could be worth massive amounts greatly multiplying the wealth of the club whatever he does he ll make sure there s plenty left over to allow us to keep bouncing back if necessary till we cement a place in this greedy league lol .

Yep, my personal belief that we wouldn't spend more than £15-£20M in total has been been proved complete poppycock. I obviously read the situation wrong.

UTT Good post!, and yes, these must be really exciting times for Dean Hoyle and his family. I didn't think we would be paying £10m plus and nor did I expect it. I don't want us to go daft, shrewd (in the market we are operating in). Yes. Trust me, there are definitely those with short memories. There are things I have posted on here where I have been wrong and / or I regret. I have never though, not once questioned Dean Hoyle. In all of this, it is him I am most pleased for.

At the risk of repeating myself, the answer to this conundrum has been there all along. Ooh-ra Ooh-ra Moo-nee-ay Over the hills with the swords of a thousand men. Sorry but I don t think that fits like a glove because you ve had to add the ooh rah ooh rah ay bits; also you're running the risk of some opposition fans taking the mickey out of it because sword can be used as another name for penis. I think this fits better and goes to the tune of Money (that's what i want) by the Flying Lizards she even signs Money like Mounie at the beginning if you listen closely. This is how that would go :- We want Mounie oh, that's what we want,oh,that's what we need,oh,that's what we want His goals will be busting your net You think they wont You wanna bet ? (or just the traditional, the best things in life are free, but you can give them to the birds and bees or we can sing both the traditional verse as on the video and the version above about busting their net ether or if both followed by the same chorus again below) We want Mounie,oh,that s what we want ,oh,that s what we need,oh,we want Mounie Singing that leaves us free to sing Depoitre s name in a tune similar to the one you ve used above, because it s harder to find a tune that goes along with singing Depoitre s name . I ll explain that in my next post .

I thought we'd spend a lot but we'd be picking up 7-8 £3M-£5M players similar to what we've done with Laurent Depoitre.
Never thought we'd get Mooy back, that's the coup so far even with Mounié lined up.

You don't turn a market stall into a £350m business without knowing a thing or two about taking calculated risks. However much we spend on fees, they'll be on players that we can either sell on for a profit or that we can afford to keep in the championship. They also look like players that will give us a real chance of staying up - I'm really looking forward to watching Lepoitre and Mounie (assuming he signs) as I think they'll give us a real threat.
If we get Mooy and Mounie for the sums talked about we could probably sell them in January for a profit, not that we'd want to.

Don't even think we need to go that far back. There were several folk having a hissy back in January that Dean's "going for it" if we were near the top "only" turned out to be big Col. The smell of humble pie drifting through town must be incredible!

About 4 pages of rubbish with people trying to fit Mounie's name into songs and we haven't even signed him yet.
We're not getting ahead of ourselves yet are we?

Sing Depoitre s name to the same tune of a french folk song that i can t remember the name of . That would go :- Deh eh eh pot tray deh eh eh pot tray pause deh eh eh pot tray deh eh eh pot tray (repeat) While we seem to be discussing the pronunciation of French names (or Belgian Walloon in the case of Depoitre) - I would be willing to bet that Depoitre is not pronounced 'Duh-pwat-ray', but simply 'duh-pwat' So we have one name that appears to be two syllables to we English speakers, but is actually three and the other that appears to be three but is actually two!
