I had to abandon a pee because of the queue at half-time, then had to piss in the river on the way back. Never happened in league 1

Bl**dy Newcastle Captain trying to make out they could have won us. 'beaten' us. I think you will find that locally up there, its 'could have, should have DONE us' like..

Newcastle fans not realising that Rafa is part of the problem rather than the solution... sure, it's funny to hear them all practically begging him to stay but very frustrating that all 70 thousand of them are still blinded by Benitez's history. He's yesterday's man tactically.

He's yesterday's man tactically. First time I've ever thought it may actually be best if he did leave to be honest. Not because I want him to leave but because I do think there will probably be better alternatives in the predicament we are in. Unbelievable contrast to the situation just 3 months ago.

In my humble opinion he should play the hand he's been dealt and not constantly whinge and moan about lack of backing. He's supposed to be a top class coach - well then Rafa... do some bloody coaching of what you've got. I cannot help thinking he is the problem and not the solution. As I say - just my opinion mate.

Yeah that's fair enough and it does seem to be the general consensus of other clubs fans. He's obviously not happy (rightly so IMO) and that negativity is certainly reflecting on fans forums / social media and more than likely on to the pitch as well. With that in mind, I think there would definitely be a lot of lower league managers or foreign leagues (as in your case) who would relish the chance to work at a higher profile club and get the best out of the hand they are dealt as you say. Looks like the damage may already have been done with his demeanour, so might be best for all if we do reluctantly part ways.

We are living proof that you don't need to spend a king's ransom to enjoy some success. Not saying its an easy option but I think if more clubs followed this model (and there must be other coaches out there who can get the best out of what they have without bottomless pockets) then its definitely possible. The vast influx of money into the game over the last few seasons I think, has created the false impression that the only way to succeed is to keep spending huge fortunes and unfortunately this attitude has become ingrained into our psyches. This mantra is now being promoted heavily through the entirety of the media, resulting in the clubs' hierarchies and their fans now believing it too.

Why? He's an international striker with a decent record, on that stage at least. If Manuel isn't using the squad he has now to its best, he won't convince the Cockney wanker to invest.

Lazy articles with titles like "Can Huddersfield Town do a Leicester?", forgetting that Leicester won the title in their 2nd season not their first.

Shouldn't be dropping points at home to teams like Southampton.

Shocking in defence today, we let them have a shot or two! Clearly that's poor and the defenders should be ashamed of that performance.
Fans too, call that atmosphere, ok all sides were making noise but did we have an A Capella 4 part harmony rendition of Smile A While? Did we buggery!
Booooooooooooo!

To mirror this thought, Pellegrino looked reasonably happy to me, but he did look like he'd missed out on something as he shook DW's hand at the end of the game. As nice a lad he may be, maybe he's still ruing that penalty miss against Bayern in 2004. Those bloody Germans!!

Stewards stood on the steps asking to see my ticket so they can vaguely point me in the right direction.
I've had to show my ticket to get into the ground and then again to walk into the seating area already. If i can't find my seat without help I shouldn't be allowed out in public.

We're on 7 points after three games, yet VLP is the modern day Malvin Kamara, Zanka isn't up to scratch with dreadful passing and Wagner will keep on picking Smith despite the new guy looking better on Youtube.
Why is personal abuse not allowed! 😉

Its the same when you get on a plane. You get to the top of the steps and the stewardess points you to your right. 'Oh really?' I say, '...so I'm not flying the bloody thing then? How disappointing is that?'

Somebody sat near me dropped one, I was struggling not to vomit. It's not an authentic football experience if you don't catch the aroma of a white hot fart that was made by a middle aged bloke who's had 10 pints and a chicken balti pie!

Two police vans, parked at angles blocking the crowds leaving the ground via stadium way, causing a bottleneck. Anyone know why they have started doing this (it was the same after the Newcastle game too)?
The only possible reason I can think is they are trying to thin the crowd out before they reach the junction with st Andrews road.
