I'd have him back. It'd be great to have him & Loessl competing for the jersey. As for who would be No.1 - it's Loessl's shirt to lose.

For all his heroics and contribution I would still have Coleman over Ward.

Did I miss something? Thought I'd seen something where he'd gone out on loan to Cardiff? Or was that a rumour?

Very impressed with Lössl yesterday much moreso than ever was with Ward. If Ward did return Coleman might as well pack his bags and move on without ever being given a real chance.

Thanks for clarifying - it was probably me making some tenuous Welsh connection...

But remember - Liverpool will insist that Ward plays 75% of games. That is standard procedure for their loans. There's not a snowball in hell's chance of him coming back on those terms, I'd say. Lössl will be No.1 without a shadow of a doubt and Coleman deserves a chance as back-up. It's a "no" from me.

Lossl is probably best keeper I've ever seen at town since 79/80 season when I started watching town

I bet he's not happy. He's the third choice keeper for a team that can't beat Watford.

Funny, me and my friend were talking about Ward post Cardiff, and we both agreed he was the weak link in the squad. The one player that was just an average championship player rather than very good like the rest of the squad.
After Wembley we both thought he was the best goalkeeper in the world.

Wasn't hugely impressed with Ward last season despite his playoff heroics, and certainly not disappointed that he hasn't returned. Lossl looked very dominant in his box yesterday, something we've lacked in a keeper for a long time.

IF Liverpool loan him out they are going to expect him (possibly demand?) him to be first choice where ever he goes. We're not going to be able to offer that. We "may" be interested in buying if the price is right - but I can't see that happening. My guess if he does go out elsewhere it will be similar to last year where he will go to a Championship club.

Danny Ward = very good goalkeeper Jonas Lössl = excellent keeper (from what we've seen so far)
I'd love Ward back but don't think he'd start ahead of Lössl. Some are very harsh on Ward - only made a couple of errors all season last year, which is not to be sniffed at.

Danny Ward is a Town legend because of what happened last season, but Lössl is a far better keeper, so I doubt Town would even consider bringing him back now, Coleman is a decent backup too.

I would have him back on the basis that he competes for the jersey & if he plays 75% of the games then it's on merit. I wasn't thinking a loan either btw. orinoco - a bit soon to judge that, I'd have thought.

one thing that Lossl has over Ward is his distribution and in Wagners system that's a big plus, Danny Ward Town hero for ever but was always rather hesitant in releasing the ball, Lossl on the other hand must be one of if not the best I've ever seen in a Town shirt in distribution of the ball, fantastic!

A good time to do a comparison would be at the end of the season. Great end of last season from Ward, great start to this season from Lossl. Ward just gets it from me at the moment on ease of spelling.

Can you imagine coleman coming in at old Trafford or anfield ? It would give me the shudders .. same a bit with ward to be honest for all his penalty exploits

Would be daft loaning two keepers. If your gonna use another loan get cover for another position.

Just imagine Coleman is injured in the Liverpool game with Lossl suspended, that means a 17 year old turning out at Anfield. Now THAT would cause an earthquake never mind shudders.

Couldn't we get a keeper on an emergency loan if that situation materialised?
