After the game on Saturday,we went into Millbridge club at Liversedge to watch the Brentford game. How times have changed! Town fans patronising the champions, champions of Europe....taking delighted at the poor state of affairs and the keystone cops goalkeeping, and realising that Leeds arnt the good team we thought they maybe this season. Always been a mix of Town and Leeds, and usually for a 5.30 Sat teatime kick off would have a fair few Leeds in. Popped down after getting back from the Town game, and not one of them in there. It's like whatever we do they can't match it anymore so don't bother. It was particularly amusing after their decent win 0-3 away at Bristol City, only to be trumped by us beating Manchester United ! |

Newport County no doubt that 2/3 of them can play, they also out the work in.. they are coming up against 'teams' and that word alone is beating them.. their 'individuals' are bright enough the 'team' is not there.. Dave built an ethos and a gameplan that everyone, even the ball players and runners had to adhere to.. Leeds have moments where it comes together and it make their better players shine but the organisation and sticking to the plan is not there. Wolves ran their arse off the other night and won the game because they had 2 moments of inspiration and lots of perspiration in holding to the tactics the rest of the game. Its a very tough league, we know this and Dave understood it.. Leeds were better off under the old game plan, they would have got something out of the 7 game run they are on with last years team and tactics.. |

That’s 4 of those years of us being utterly dire and nobody giving a flying one in school apart from a loyal handful of us, whilst the wannabes, even those who wouldn’t know Elland Road from the council tip, rubbed my nose in it about their supposed success. Even as a child I knew they cheated their way to it, but I was still stood on windswept (and often empty) terraces through those years while they kicked their way to trophies. Without recycling decades of grief, I’ll say just this. If you want to call me tinpot, go for it. I don’t care. But don’t try to stop me squeezing every last drop of pleasure out of the misery of their vile supporters, because I’ve paid into it for 50 years and god help me, I’m cashing in my investment. |

Town limped around for season after season when I was a kid....me and my mates stuck by them, growing a love for all things Town. It was almost a badge of honour at school. While Leeds were wining the first division, their fans were obnoxious, vile and unforgiving in their attacks on us. Don't you come on here now and tell me to ignore them, cos I will not. They are shit, we are Premier league....may be the other way round in five years........I'm enjoying it. I cheered each Brentford goal Saturday tea time....the Leeds fans around me had no comeback at all. They now know their place in Heckmondwike.
