Deano's obviously enjoying it, going by last nights interview.
Then again he's another Hecky lad, maybe it's different for fans from Huddersfield who don't have to live amongst them?

I think as far as this lot are concerned silence is far louder than any other goading - those with massive ego's hate being ignored

Amid all the bluster i think we`ve all got mates who are Leeds fans! I'm unfortunate enough to have a brother who supports Leeds. It's strange because he's developed a sudden disinterest in football, I can't think why.

It's strange because he's developed a sudden disinterest in football, I can't think why. It's a major phenomenon among Leeds fans: I think we all know at least one who doesn't find the 'banter' as much fun as it was a few years ago.

I remember well when we were scratting around in the third division and Leeds were lording it in the prem and the champions league,we got patronised by many Leeds fans because we wer`nt regarded as a threat to them, not once was i resentful and bitter though. Now the tables have turned and those same Leeds fans who used to say `we`re not rivals with you`and `we dont care about you` have all of a sudden now found a dislike of us,the patronising has stopped and for those same Leeds fans reality has hit home, they arn`t top dogs in these parts anymore,it says it all when they wanted Man utd to beat us. The Leeds fans i know are a mixed bunch, some are ok about things and concede the fact town have done exeptionally well in recent seasons, but there are others (some mates included) who cant bring themselves to admit those same facts, its these who show no humility that annoy me. Last season Leeds didnt have a bad season, they missed out on the palyoffs by a whisker, but the fact we went up made it a season from hell.....and they didint even get relegated,i mentioned in an earlier post im not a Leeds obssessive....but im still like a pig in the proverbial!

Typical quotes from leeds fans...
"we should be playing in the Champions League"
"We're too big for this league"
"The Premier League need us"
They deserve no sympathy at all. They deserve no pity at all. They are quite simply idiots.

Try being a leeds lad, living in leeds, who is a town fan. At this moment it really is joyous. My simple and straight forward plan is to stay quiet and just listen to them. It allows me a certain pleasure when the leeds fans kick off or spout bullshit (which happens as soon as they wake up till they go to sleep). You really have to see and hear the level of sheer delusion. It really is utterly amazing. There's this old guy who lives up the road from me who is a Leeds fan. He has his Leeds and his Leeds Bag every day for his trip to and from work. Since we got promoted from the old first division to the championship he looked at me like i'm shit. Now imagine my utter pleasure when we played them and more often than not beat them. His face was a picture every time. He'd mumble to himself as he passed me, in fact I heard him shout abuse at the house on more than one occasion. Imagine my delight in the summer when we got to the playoff final and won it. The look on the old farts face when i next passed him (and since to be fair) is utter comedy gold.

Not calling anyone tinpot, i have suffered just as much as anyone. I work with fans of a few teams, the plastic scousers, the plastic Man U fans and lately more and more Man City fans together with the usual spread of Leeds fans. When goaded a grin and a showing of my season ticket card with premiership tends to shut them up. All i am stating is let us concentrate on ourselves if only for this season, there is far more to discuss and look forward to rather than what Leeds are doing, i don't give a shit what they do as long as we continue to prosper and grow Cringe (and way more so than anything else said on this thread)

Work has been amazing recently (work in Leeds city centre) my boss came over to me about 4 weeks ago laughing saying 'who's bubble has burst bigger then? Leeds or town?' Absolutely pissing himself the fact that we'd gone x amount without a win after such a good start. since then we've gone on to beat Utd and West Brom. He doesn't say much anymore. Neither do I. As a previous poster mentioned, it hurts them more not even saying anything. And it is bliss.

So much so that exactly three quarters of your entire output is to be found on a thread about them

Do Leeds get Davidson AND the €1.4m ? It isn't very clear. Its a lot of money in the championship, but they should hold out for more.

Is that an oxymoron?
