love this Childish expression 'bedwetters', and that is what is is, Childish in the extreme. If there was a DATM dictionary, it would read as follows: Bedwetter: Somebody that is capable of having their own opinion. Not known to follow the crowd and instead has and can express their own opinion, an opinion that is not always based on being the same as others. Bedwetter, a Person who can on occasions call in to question the tactics, formation or overall performance of a Team. The trouble with DATM at the moment (and I was speaking to a fellow Fan this morning who doesn't bother with this forum for this very reason) is that you simply cannot offer any view of a match that questions David Wagner which in essence questioning tactics, formation or a performance is doing. Even slightly or you are a 'bedwetter' for example. 'Do you know how successful he has been?' 'all these Posters on here think they know better than Wagner'. A couple of things and I know this will come as a surprise to some of you. Wagner does get it wrong, he makes mistakes, he would tell you that himself (hell we all do in our working life). This does not have any baring on his overall capability as a Football Manager, an excellent one at that. You see the issue doesn't lye with Wagner. This issue lies with many posters on here who cannot accept differences in opinion. Simple as that. I am sure Wagner himself can and does!. As somebody that went home and away when we were shit, went to home matches (on my own) with 5000 others at Leeds road. I cannot honestly believe where we are at now as a Club and what Wagner has achieved and the timescale he has achieved it in is ridiculous, a remarkable feat. He will whilst I am on the face of this earth be the most successful Manager I ever have the pleasure to watch Town under. A forum is about opinions, not somebody thinking they can 'do a better job than Wagner'. No opinions = no forum. Based on watching a football match. If I like what I see on the pitch I will say so, if I agree with tactics and Team formation I will say so. If we have played well I will say so. All my opinions being aired on a football forum to em, discuss our Club and offer opinions.......... Equally, if I don't (and this is when the fun can start). I will say so. That doesn't mean there is no recognition of the bigger picture, what the Club has achieved and how well we are doing. Just opinions of the match. And I will continue to do so and can be called whatever. I am true to myself and not trying to win a popularity contest when posting on here. I don't think anybody has an issue with anything you've said morley - the problem comes when opinions are aired and they are knee jerk immediately after a game and the whole tone becomes very personal and offensive. Sadly, its a fact of modern life..................but we cant look down on the rollercoaster fans of certain other clubs and then act like them ourselves. I hated every minute of last Sunday for example - it was painful to watch and if I'd known how we were going to approach it I probably would have stayed at home ------- but its really difficult for us at this level and right now the head coach is very firmly in credit for what he has achieved here and I think some need to realise this! Anyway - heres looking forward to tomorrow and beyond!!!

Granted, the same views may be slightly different when posted say 24 hours later!. I chose not to post after the Man City game and left it alone. As you say. It can and often does lead to posts being exchanged that are unpleasant on both sides!. I think I will be posting tomorrow straight after about how refreshing it has been to see us try and win a football match. I think we will be offensive and it will pay dividends. As I have repeatedly said and been conistent with for years and years. It ain't all about the winning for me. If we have a go and play well and get turned over, I will be positive in my views. Please just please give us a performance to get us out of our seat and get excited about!.

I donβt get why people are surprised we lost to Chelsea and Man City. The manner of the defeats was a little disappointing because apart from the first half against Chelsea we looked poor. However if you thought Wagner was going to send out an overly attacking formation against either you are crazy. Our season will depend on our performances against the teams around us. Our season effectively does start tomorrow and while it is not a must win it is very important we play well and get something out of the game. Hopefully we will get 3 points and lift the spirits a bit. For what itβs worth I do wish we were a bit more adventurous against the top 6 but itβs a balancing act. Keeping shape and trying to keep them out is the most likely way you will get anything. 'keeping them out' ? honestly, it could have been 8 or 9.. chelsea had the second half off.. 0-2 is the game really over?? it is if you produce no chances.. nobody is 'suprised' we lost the first 2 games, absolutely nobody.. Why are some persisting with this nonsense..? I am suprised how we played much of the 2 games to merely end up minus 8 goals.. clearly so are many, its an opinion.. I am sure that it was not the intention to lose so heavily but the tactic of trying to keep it tight is the best one against teams when they are clearly so much better than you are. Obviously it did not work for us against City but I think most reasonable people agree we played well against Chelsea and were unlucky to be two down at half time. After that it was always going to be nigh on impossible to get back into it. I hope to see at least one of our new wingers get a chance this weekend and for us to have a real go at Cardiff. If we are still bottom after ten games then yeah we need to worry, not after two games against two of the best teams we will face all season, games you would expect us to lose.

I clap when I am happy and don't when I am not! (I don't though just clap and ignore what is going on, on the pitch regardless just because we are in the Premier League)

If we lose today the meltdown will be collosal Let's see how the results are going in a few weeks.... Yes 10 games in is the first marker. But sooner we get some points the better. It's been said numerous times but were we realistically going to get anything from our first two games.... No

No Perfectly correct, however I was being a bit ironic, a little bit tongue in cheek in response to eddieyoudsscarf's post on 'Cardiff, remember their sellouts?' thread.

If we lose today the meltdown will be collosal I won't assess today based on the result and us winning or not. My assessment will be based on the formation, Players used, tactics and subsequently what play unfolds before me.

So if we win 4-0 and it doesnβt βunfoldβ before you in quite the way you had hoped or expected, might you still be very critical, ala the last few performances?

I agree the term bedwetters is childish, but I really don't think it's aimed across the board, whilst it's only the contra to the equally childish 'happy clappers'.
At the same time, our resident smug twats (which doesn't include Morley, he's just very excitable π) waffle on as if they are some sort of footballing genius and that those not throwing their rattle out of the pram think everything is great. These are the oddballs that really piss me off. Fortunately there's only about three of em.
As for the bedwetters, they're just those that panic at the first sign of trouble and just need to show a bit more resolve and in some cases loyalty/trust.
Anyway, if anyone thinks those that show a bit more patience really think Wagner gets everything right and were fully comfortable with the second half against Chelsea and the majority of the Chelsea game, they are deluded.

Lets all clap our hands and pretend we have had a wonderful start to the season then. Or does the season start tomorrow? Not sure. I think its about appreciating we've had a bad start to the season, but that weve also played our toughest game of the season away at the club that will win it comfortably and did so without 3 key players, and also a team that will probably finish 2nd to 4th, where for half the game at least we played well and maybe even shaded it in terms of actual play. We certainly played better against Chelsea than either time last season despite the actual result. Think the divisions tougher than last year but also think our squad is stronger. Time will tell whether any of the new guys strengthen our strongest XI. The managers not had a great start, think thats fair, but after his achievements over the past couple of years, thats not something to worry about IMO. Hes still an inexperienced manager and will get things wrong. Anyone can have a bad day at the office.
