I noticed on one of the threads on Talk of the Town there's a picture of an anchor next to it.
Is that something new? Is it to denote a thread that needs to drop (i.e. drop anchor - it was a pretty crap thread about Hef's brother)?
Something else?

Yes, its a way of making a thread drop. That guy was clearly a troll, but people are still welcome to post in the thread if they want. But when they do, it won't be bumped back to the top - it will just fade away.

I prefer "Watch out, some anchors have posted in this thread" Although admittedly the place might get overrun with anchors if that were the case.
