He's correct that in general Safe standing will not increase crowds across the board. It would at Town though as we have over 3k on the SC waiting list & converting the south stand would up it's capacity by 70% according to rail seat stats. Relatively cheap way of increasing capacity.

I don't quite get that. Isn't the point that there are also seats in the rails, so it would be 1:1?

Clappers - here to stay; regardless of opinion they improve the atmosphere. DH did say they did try one game without them and there was, in his opinion, a deterioration in the atmosphere. Can anyone remember which game that was when we were clapperless? Birmingham City in the cup when there was about 13000 there. Lol what a ridiculous 'study'. I'm pretty sure the lack of atmosphere was due to the dire performance and half empty stadium! Passionately hate the clappers I am gutted to read they are staying!

They claim an increased capacity of 70% in the same area of current seating. So a rail seat clearly takes up less room.

That’s on about more people standing which would increase the gate but would revert back to the original max attendance if the seating had to be used
So for champions league the attendance would be lower than a league game

I dont know much about this but isn't that for all standing areas, not rail seating areas? That picture lools like they can put 2 rows standing in the same space as 1 with seats - surely if seats are part of the railing that wouldn't be possible?

As it is on the safe standing website that is pushing rail seating I assume it's talking about rail seating.

As it is on the safe standing website that is pushing rail seating I assume it's talking about rail seating. It is talking about current regulations which are standing only, not rail seating, and is only talking about the space it takes up.

What changes and improvements is he exactly talking about on the stadium? Lick of paint or a lot more? Don't think it looks too bad myself, but not savvy to things behind the scenes.

Can anyone summarise what was said? No news on the DOF. No plans to increase capacity but working with KSDL to improve the quality of the stadium so that it ‘feels’ Premier League. Master plan for Canalside if we stay up but gave no details. Kongolo is in the shop window and will probably cost too much. One of Dean’s mates is a Halifax fan and recommended vardy to him - he sent Clarky to scout him and Clark said not to buy him as he had a bad attitude. He gets embarrassed when people sing his name. He doesn’t like all the attention hence he’s not done many interviews. Considered going in SS but wouldn’t want the attention. One of his favourite games was the 4-4 at Hillsborough. He was asked if it’s true that he was the sole pitch invader in the 4-4 draw at Bury in ‘91. He said he was, and went on to tell the story about it. Legend!! 😂
