Why is it? There’s no way Quanner will be starting. He’s fourth choice at best. Can you let nick know please! Is Nick, Colin's & VLP's agent?

Shame if it's fallen through, if for no other reason than the ready made song for him - courtesy of the late Ritchie Valens (or whoever originally came up with it). La, la, la, la, la Limbombe Forget skill and pace, we need players who we can devise a catchy chant for.

I know this is radical and a bit left-field.
Can we though either through existing Players or anybody we buy find somebody that can cross a ball?.

Oh for a crosser like David Cowling or Colin Dobson.

I was a left winger myself!

Sane and Sterling both stay high and wide like traditional wingers but they don't cross from the byline much if it all. Only ever really low crosses once they've worked some space otherwise they play back out to the edge of the box.

Look to the fullbacks for crossing, that's where it will come from. The way we set up in our 4231 means our wingers are more like ‘inside forwards’, I believe the bulk of our crosses come from the fullbacks.

He arrived last Wednesday night for talks. Deal was supposed to be done and dusted. Ajax entered the equation then his wage demands increased. He'll be the victim of another agent whose priority is to line his own pockets. cleaned up then...

The Sun reckons Southampton & Newcastle are ready to pounce now talks have broken down with us. I think they've just looked back to who was originally interested months ago & made the story up personally. Southampton have recently brought in Elyounoussi who's a LW & Newcastle brought in Kenedy who plays a similar position.

Whatever happens, we need some more quality out wide. I fear for us if we're still relying on Quaner in the match day squad this season.
Seems from an outsiders point of view that his new advisors have turned his head.

Seems from an outsiders point of view that his new advisors have turned his head. We didn't get very far with his former advisers either. Doesn't seem like he fancies a move here, fair enough, we move on. Things could change but I doubt Wagner will be waiting around for him to change his mind.

The last thing we need is someone who doesn't really want to be here... We cannot afford bad apples in the squad as our strength is based on unity and working hard.

Not great that he’ll have missed most of pre-season if we do end up signing him. Although if we don;t get him, we'll need somebody else in that position who will also have missed most of pre-season. Team spirit kept us up last season so it's important we don't get any Billy big bollocks' in the dressing room. If he doesn't want to come here to prove himself and raise his profile for the national team, then knackers to him. This. I don't know for certain what the situation is with Limbombe, but if it turns out that he's not the right character for the dressing room then I don't care how talented he is - find somebody else.

Last 'bad apple' I can think of was Joel Lynch in terms of wanting to buy in to David's ethos. Oh how we've missed him (and I actually quite liked him at the time)
