I'm posting this thread here in order to reach a large readership, and also for the info/action of the Admins.
I've encountered the following problem several times recently.....but only on the TOTT part of the DATM site, and never on any of the other sites I visit. Today's experience was typical.....I was not signed in, browsing the David Wagner thread, then suddenly my McAfee Webadvisor flashed a "do you want to visit this site?" red alert.....the address in the bar was, as on previous occasions, "nextoptim.com". I clicked the Back button....previously, everything would seize up at this stage, and I'd terminate my online session, then start again. Today, however, there was a flurry of activity, culminating in a warning that there were 4 viruses on my machine, and I should download some anti-viral software (aka malware)......the address of this site was "playforwin2.info". I terminated my session, and ran a full security scan (all clear).
Today, I did something I had not done previously....I checked my History. To my surprise, there were 4 different sites involved in this event, listed below in the order in which they apparently appeared;- 1.....someadmedia.com.....never spotted that (today, or previously).
2.....join2creative.com..............ditto. 3.....nextoptim.com...........the usual suspect. 4.....playforwin2.info..........the virus planter, which I've not encountered previously.
My fundamental concern about this problem is that it appears out of the blue, whilst browsing.....no clicking of links is involved. And I've only ever encountered it on TOTT. Bizarre.
Anyone else had a similar experience? Any info/advice, Admins?

I just keep getting I'm banned from the site I have t back click a few times for it to clear but no security warning It does that to me but only at home and on the wifi, if I switch my phones wifi off I don't get the banned message 🤔 |

I would of thought it a Admin job to look into this kind of issue. Well you thought wrong, I'm afraid. We don't run the technical side of things, and the user affected is best placed to raise a query as then the admins on the Support site can ask them direct questions to diagnose the problems. |

We don't run the technical side of things, and the user affected is best placed to raise a query as then the admins on the Support site can ask them direct questions to diagnose the problems. Looks like a DATM issue to me or Proboards which Admin and Proboards should resolve. |

a virus once got into my laptop and took over my webcam, thus taking a picture of me miliseconds before blowing my load. the picture was horrific and wouldnt go a miss on fbis most wanted. it then placed my picture on a frozen page which said the national police have caught you and i must pay 500 dollars to get rid of the charges. i was looking at illegal content apparently but i can assure you amputated dwarfs rough gangbanging isnt illegal

It's a technical issue, and that is the remit of Proboards support, not the DATM admin team. I look forward to trying to make this clear a third way shortly. |
