Mbenza - ability but not ready or experienced enough for the Premier League Diakhaby - no heart, not up to the physicality of English football, probably go well back in France Bacuna - showed up well against Newcastle but it's a big step up in this league, will get better with time, how good he will be is difficult to say We had a young French lad at work for a few months and he chuckled when I said we had signed Diakhaby for £7m-8m. He described exactly what we have subsequently seen. Very fast, but no physicality and unproven as a natural 'footballer'.

I just hope Jan the man is a fan of the Diakhaby & Mbenza masterplan.

Hopefully they thrive in a more adventurous system under Martin from Wakefield
Wagner had everyone thinking firstly about defence and attack very much an after thought. How hard must it be as a wideman knowing that you're going to be dropped if you don't defend well.

Jesus this is how desperate we have become and that we've been starved if decent attacking players that these two are thought of as the answer or that some fans can 'see something in them'. These guys are dire, they should never have been signed. French football must be utter crap if these guys are considered top class standard. These two are the epitome of what's gone wrong at Town this season. Diabenza. I think that's what they take for anxiety attacks

From what I’ve seen so far they’re not good enough and will struggle in the Championship if they’re here next season and we go down. Hope I’m wrong, we stay up and they both go on to be full internationals and move on for millions to one of the top 4 😀😀😀

I think I’m in the minority, but I don’t think either played terribly badly yesterday, in fact I think Mbenza is starting to look good and Diakhaby showed a few decent touches? I have to admit I am a glass half full, happy clapper kinda guy!!

He's quicker, releases the ball when he should instead of holding on to it for four hours, can cross it better and looks more powerful if he can man up a bit and stop backing out of challenges Mbenza looks like he would have a field day in the Championship with a bit of confidence behind him. Look at Lolley, would you have thought he would do anything in the Championship after how average he looked for us?

Both Lolley and VLP are better players than Mbenza. He can cross it, but thats about it. The pace he has is a bit of a waste because he doesn;t know how to use it. The championship is a physical division and theres no way he's going to stand up to it. He'll do anything to avoid a physical challenge and every full back in the division would quickly realise that.

'In a packed programme tonight we will be talking to an out-of-work contortionist who says he can no longer make ends meet.' I get the reference, but I'm willing to bet that not many will. We'll see.... ... The toilets at a local police station have been stolen. Police say they have nothing to go on.

The fact that Wagner did not rate them but seemingly everyone else on the footballing staff did/does, leaves me thinking there may well be 2 prospects who need time and 'love' to show exactly what they can do... agreed they look out of place and lacking technique but Im sure they were not picked for their U21s just because they could run fast?? both countries they represent are above ours in the world rankings? seen lots of players start like steam trains and then disappear likewise many who have taken some time to get going but are still going strong..

Being picked for the under 21s would be impressive if we are a championship or league one team but this is premier league. They both look miles off and they've been at the club almost six months. I'd be surprised if all the coaching staff thought they were premier league players cos from what we've all seen with our own eyes they're miles off. They cost £20M btw. Twenty million pounds. That's almost as much as our new training complex will cost. Sent from my SM-G920F using proboards

Sent from my SM-G920F using proboards its about opinions with younger players, especially ones that come here from abroad and then have to settle in and learn the coaches systems, training programmes and get up to speed with a new very tough division.. as to them both 'looking miles off', they have played so little they have an excuse, lots of 'experienced' premier league players here have not.. Mbenza ran about like a headless chicken the other week but he was not alone and at least he was 'running'.... I could well be wrong, I don't know, they just have not played enough for me to give a proper opinion on them.. If we have spent a lot of money then its clear the staff and Dean decided it was a 'considered' purchase and we will have to give them the chances to prove it right or wrong??? I do know that the city full backs and both central defenders did not take their pace for granted once they had to chase them... a player with more experience and confidence might have done a bit more???

It certainly gave them something to think about yes but a L2 player who was quick would have done too. Hope you're right and they kick on but I also hope we're not bound to buy Mbenza and its a try before you buy arrangement rather than a deal of convenience for Montpellier.

People need to stop having a go at them now - neither have been given a decent run in the team.
It’s the people who have been given a run in the team that have cost us all season (his name is Flo)

There's a reason they haven't been given a run in the team and we see it every time they get on the pitch.

I give you Zanka....flo at least half the time and mounie on a regular basis.. the excuses given are we do not really 'play' to their strengths, de ja vu?

I rest my case. Still hoping we can bring Tom home in the summer using the Mbenza refund. That would be a cracking deal, don't you think?
