Allegedly didn’t involve the traditional means of paying out largish sums such as online, bankers draft or cheque 🤷♂️🤣😊 Cash is King. And as such is the only person to win both the mens and womens titles at Wimbledon 🤔😁

Someone posted something about Ope having board meeting last week Perhaps they should get a jester to jazz it up.

My source says Dean is selling up at the end of the season, due to his health, but it seems the cat is out of the bag. If that's the case, then fair enough. Nothing is more important than your health. Not sure I could cope with losing Wagner and Hoyle in the same season though.

I’ve every faith in DH to do what’s best for the club and for himself. He’s not going to be solo Owner forever and he has stabilised the club and taken it as far as he can with money available. If we want to stay in the PL or have a chance to compete at the top of the Championship we'll need a lot more cash so a foreign takeover could be the answer. In DH I trust .

Deano recently ill , David totally stressed out needing a break ,and fans in a total state of shock
This club should carry a government health warning on entry stating -- Owning ,managing or supporting Huddersfield Town can seriously damage your health

All I will say on this wild speculation is that if they were going to take us over they should have done so last summer and put 200 million quid up for signings. Bit late now we are probably going down

if OPE are serious (I know it's a rumour) then they would want influence on who the next manager would be surely? They're not going to 'throw money' in unless they see a high profile manager, a name they can use to help sell their brand are they?

Bit late now we are probably going down Exactly. No one is going to be rushing to takeover a bottom half Championship side. If DH was going to sell, presumably for a significant amount of money (which no one could begrudge), then he would have spent more to get the players to hopefully ensure Premier League survival again. With PL status and Wagner gone, I wouldn’t imagine our selling position is strong at the moment.

Agree, maybe the type of manager incoming on sunday will give a clue If a fat waiter turns up expect OPE to be close behind😲

I don’t find this idea very comforting.
Ope have been absolutely silent all along. I’m grateful for the investment, but club ownership is about so much more than that.
Dean’s a model owner, and by comparison, anyone else is going to look second rate. But I’d happily sacrifice a bit of spending power in order to keep a club that has a connection, and a dialogue, with its fan base.

The Chinese state has significantly increased its control of capital flight - AFAIK this kind of deal would require signing off by the government.
Doesn't necessarily block it, but makes it a drawn out process I would think. Bit of a surreal idea to have Xi looking over Town's books, though.

My source says DH illness means a sale needs to be in a timely manner, no money left in club for any big signings in the near future.

Have they ever been to a match? They'd keep their brass in their pocket if they ever watched us! Perhaps they are just pretenders.

Are gambling companies allowed to own football clubs? Pretty sure they aren't.
