Sorry. Poor attempt at humour. It's been a traumatic week. The SAC bloke was indeed a bit crap. I just find it comical how the Olaf Rebbe lynch mob have turned on their heels and found their new target in a flame-haired supergeek pulling the names of transfer targets from a computer in his basement.

Brighton tried the 'let's find players via the internet only' route but it didn't work for them, they changed and went back to the more traditional method of scouting as well as using some of the apps to initially look at potential players..

Are you saying that we don't even go and watch the players in person? We just rely on the data these systems throw out? I find that hard to believe although it would explain some of the signings |

He was the young man responsible for putting our summer signings to Wagner. Mostly he spots recruits via computer based programmes. He should stick to Fortnite. I said that a couple of weeks ago. |

If Town are recruiting via analytics then its no wonder we are screwed. We dont even know how to process such data yet. Too many variables.
Its all relative to the opposition quality anyway. A new science but untested.
Warnock saw Bullock for 5 minutes and said he would "run through walls, sign him".
Target the weakest links in your own team and replace with better....one at a time. Dont buy players to fit systems, make systems for players as players move on or get injured.
What the hell has been going on?!

As I have said overall there have been mistakes not just by any nindividual but given the criteria the scouts and club work hard to get the best results. |

He was an U16 - U21's Scout at Southampton before he came here. Southampton's Academy has a pretty good reputation.
He's been with Town since early 2016, originally as Chief Scout and then as Head of Recruitment since July of last year.
He's been a Scout since 2013. He was National Scout for Wolves for just over a year.
You might look at that and say, if he was Head of Recruitment last summer, then he's responsible for last summers signings. However, I would guess that it was whoever was in the roll before him that was responsible.....I don't know who that was

I wish people would stop bringing up Football Manager. As an ardent player for well over 15 years, I can assure you that anyone who plays regularly would definitely not have signed some of the shit we have.
