Should be a bit happier since this thread was started. A come from behind victory against the champions followed by a pricey, highly-rated addition, albeit not proven on a big stage. Plus a left back / wing back in on loan.
Time will tell whether this is enough to keep him beyond the end of the season, he'll surely be keeping tabs on the Leicester situation, but it's looking more positive than it was 50 or so hours ago.

You seem like one of the few decent fans from opposing teams that come on here, did you make it to the JSS a few months ago ? If you did what did you think of your teams performance? I know you won 0-1 so you took 3 points home and 3 points aren't easy to find in this league, plus any criticism I make you can shoot me down because you won, but I thought it was a disgrace. Those who were going when KK was boss must be wondering how has it come to this, from great entertainers and (nearly, mackems and smoggies excluded) everybody's favourite 2nd team to grinding out for a nil,nil draw at Huddersfield, all the while receiving continual PL or parachute payments with 50,000 home gates and yet a manager moaning it's not fair, we've no money, it's a miracle if we survive. Anyway, if you're going to Spurs you'll have left, I'm off to Chelsea expecting a severe backlash after their heaviest ever defeat with Roman in charge and you ve got the last laugh cos you're staying up. |

He's done a great job here and wish him all the best wherever he goes next. Ultimately, he's far too good for where the club currently is.

There is plenty of (generally good-natured) banter about him on here and amongst Town fans generally but I rate Benitez and think he has done a pretty sound job there in 3 and a bit years.

To be honest I wouldn't put it past Ashley to try and "appease the natives" by appointing "one of their own"... and I certainly wouldn't put it past Clark to have already emailed his CV in despite barely having his feet under the desk at Blyth. Just a shame he's a shite manager! |
