Hes everything the club would want in his role. Approachable, friendly and happy to take the time to respond. Id bet the fans of clubs like Man utd, Liverpool, etc couldn;t imagine the same from their version of jarvis. Sadly i think theres some truth to the idea our quota of nob heads has gone up a lot since getting to the prem. They can't tolerate failure because as 'Town fans' all theyve known is success. One consolation of going down is most will lose interest again. Yes - there are fans in their early 20s who have never known what a relegation is like.

Sad to hear. Sean Jarvis is a very decent, humble, hard working chap.

Probably one of the most hideous commercial directors I have ever had a pint or 10 with A true Millbridge Pikey and a great bloke, but by hell is he ugly.

Since I don't and never will read the Examiner, what has been said? The Examiner is a good local paper, one of the best in my opinion. A lot of local papers are disappearing or going weekly. Local papers are part of the fabric of a healthy community. It'll be a shame when/if it disappears. No it isn't, it is utter shite, and a disgrace to journalism. In fact it is that shite Otium regularly links it to back his 'facts and statistics'.

If we sack everyone at the club for a bad season(still seeing it in the context that the greedy league is quite ridiculous, monetary wise) then the championship is going to surprise some of our newer support..
even with the parachute money and 2 years tv cash etc etc we will still be in the never ending money pit..
wait till the signings come good in a lower league and see the difference in the comments..
the club has definitely and without question been up against it since we got here and our 'status' has been seen, even by some of our own support totally out of proportion ...
truth is we are still fighting championship clubs for players and if you take that as a starting point then the rest of the footballing side and commercial side can be seen in proper context..
it might be a little different next season but the competition and the money will still be ridiculous..

I don't understand why would Jarvis be getting abuse? Doesn't he work on the commercial side of the club? He's doing a great job imo. 1 of the few that deserves no criticism atm imo.

Some people just don't understand he is commercial only and has absolutely nothing to do with team affairs, not that it would make it OK if he was. Doing a cracking job too (except for the cartoon dog replacing the club in probably the most high profile season in 111 years but I wont dwell on that). I don't really see why its made the paper though, I guess if you're high profile and on twitter it goes with the territory sadly.

It surprises me though that we still have a number of players who have no sponsor yet this season; strange for a Premiership club.

Maybe it's to try and get the dickheads to lay off him by pointing out he's commercial side rather than playing side rather than trying to get through to them on twitter

It's probably due to the fact that, while we were going through a record breaker of a disastrous run on the field and a very lacklustre transfer window off it, his was the only visible club presence on social media. While he was (presumably) tweeting about the latest club partnership, as honourable and necessary as that is, fans were probably hoping to hear of a high profile loan signing or a statement from the CEO about the direction of the club.
So his was the only direction that the Twitter mouthbreathers could vent off in, I reckon.

Saying that, I've never seen Town relegated, but I don't go slagging off the club's backroom. First game for me was back in 2007 when we lost 0-4 at home to Swansea in League one. Some say it was masochism that I wanted to come back and see more, but if the Premier League bandwagon can't handle the championship, I say good riddance to them.

I've seen so many relegations that I appreciate how demoralising they can be. I also forget that many young uns have never experienced this so it's a first for them. I'm not sure we should be saying goodbye to fans who maybe just need a little educating though.

Planning early and getting relegation out of the system lon, long before a new season might be more beneficial for us? none of the above rules out an 8 match winning run and a right heart attack last few games this season..

Nice little Huddersfield 100 article...
No mention of the main shirt sponsor though; will probably see that on Wednesday at Rochdale.
