Yeah i said something similar on the match thread last night, we should only be playing players who are ours. In terms of the current squad Lossl - Keep if possible Hamer - Can go Coleman - If Hamer/Lossl goes then keep, otherwise i would let go Schofield - Keep but out on loan again next season Smith - Keep Duhaney - Keep Schindler - Keep Kongolo - Unlikely to stay but would keep Zanka - Let go if an offer comes in Durm - Let go Lowe - Keep Flo - Let go Brown - Keep but maybe go out on loan again Stankovic - Keep, looked good last night in the middle Williams - Let go (Good player but injured too often) Hogg - Keep Mooy - Keep if possible Billing - Keep if possible VLP - Unsure on Raj, could depend on the Mbenza situation but i would let him go. Quaner - Let go Sobhi - Would have liked to see him given a chance but can't see him fitting in to a JS team so Let Go Diakhaby - Keep Mbenza - Depends on the situation. If we have to buy then we have no choice, if we have an option then i wouldn't buy Payne - Let go O'Brien - Keep but maybe another season on loan Pritchard - If we keep Mooy then i would let Pritchard go Puncheon - Return to Palace Sabiri - Keep Bacuna - Keep Depoitre - Let go Mounie - Keep - Again a tricky one but i would keep if he wants to give it a go. Grant - Keep Kachunga - Let go All in all i don't think it's going to need a massive overhaul if we can keep the players we want. Probably keep kachunga, good solid player at championship level and puts plenty of effort in Definitely keep kachunga. He typifies the terrier spirit. He works hard and he looks like he loves it at town, great with the fans too.

Jaden Brown, the new full back we got from Spurs last month. He is currently on loan at Exeter. Guess technically he isn't a first team member yet but over the next couple of years should be pushing for a place as he turned 20 last month. England youth international like Duhaney and only a few months younger. www.htafc.com/teams/EDT-team/defender/jaden-brown/

Who I think will stay. Lossl Hamer(unfortunately) Schindler Stankovic Hadj Smith Lowe Bacuna Hogg Diakhaby RVLP (new manager may well want a look at him) Super Col Grant Who I think will not likely be here, where by sale, end of contract or transfer request Mooy Mbenza(end of loan, transfer not taken) Depoitre Mounie Billing Zanka Durm Kongolo We'll take up the year's option on Durm, surely? I wouldn;t. Hes not really impressed much and will be on big money you'd presume.

I can't see him getting massive offers from anyone else and he might be decent in the championship. Definitely not our worst fullback if the price is reasonable.

Not saying Durms been lousy or anything, just don;t think hes been that good. I expected him to be much better to be honest. better than flo but on a par with smith IMO.
he'll find it easier in the championship like they all will, but for the wages you presume he'll be on, could we get a better player?
I don't think Kongolo will leave like some do. Like Schindler, he was great last season but also like Schindler he hasn't looked anything that special this time. I doubt any prem clubs would be interested in either, so can't see either leaving.
Not sure about Zanka. Again can;t see anyone from the prem wanting him, but as an established international him and his agent will see dropping to the 2nd tier as something they can do without, so it wouldn;t surprise me if he moves on over to europe somewhere. Its ironic his danish manager said Town weren't a big enough club for him, when in reality hes only the 3rd best centre back here!

If 4-3-3 is his preferred way of playing i would look at keeping
Lossl - Coleman - Schofield Brown - Duhaney - Schindler - Stankovic - Lowe Bacuna - Hogg - Mooy Grant - Diakaby - Mbenza - Kachunga
I just have a sneaky feeling Mooy will stay. Has nothing to prove and does genuinely love it here.
Kongolo & Billing will probably be sold and at a solid profit.
Depoitre - Zanka - Sobhi - RVLP & Hamer MUST GO and i don't care how much we get for them
Smith - Puncheon - Sabiri - Danny Williams - Mounie - Pritchard - Durm probably should be sold but to be honest IMO i'd only miss Durm out of that lot. Others either don't fit the system or just don't cut it for me.
If all that happens obviously means summer will be busy. The right replacements HAVE to be found this time round.

Judging players at premier league lever is far different than that of what many could achieve at lower league level football ie championship
Jan will use the rest of this season to the clubs advantage by trying and work out some kind of team plan for next season ,then fire sale for those he thinks not fit for purpose or wanting to leave
What is even more vital is we are not wasteful with any remaining/incoming funds as they wont last forever thus must be spent wisely
Its far better to go down fighting like we witnessed against Wolves otherwise we would end up being in a position similar to Sunderland

I'm not saying I'd like either to go, but we were all worried about losing Mooy and Billing but after recent showings from Bacuna and Stankovic last night and assuming we can keep those and Hoggy then I don't think we have much to worry about in that department.
Think judging by Schindlers comments recently he's staying. Keeping Kongolo is a big ask but you never know. Started to think Billings stock may have fallen after some recent below par performances but he was back to his best last night.
FWIW I can't see us losing all three (Mooy, Billing and Kongolo) sure Dean will pull out the stops to keep them.

Nothing concrete, you can just tell it's affected him lately, even said he's been "struggling to look in the mirror" in one interview and another where he says "we don't want to be playing in the Championship". Comes across like he's here for the long haul no matter the outcome or I'm hoping so.

He is in the Championship. I hope we'll have much better options than him, even Col gives more as a winger He was class in the championship. He has found the jump too much and has been unlucky with injuries when he was twice finding his feet. Anyone saying that kachunga isn't good enough for huddersfield in the championship is deluded.

He is in the Championship. I hope we'll have much better options than him, even Col gives more as a winger He's looked very limited for most of his time in the EPL, but in the Champ he's generally stronger and faster than whoever he comes up against and uses that rather than guile/skill to be effective. At least good enough as a regular sub and at his peak comfortably good enough to start at that level.

A lot of these players won't want to play in The Championship. Expect a lot of ins ands out. I agree they might not want to play in the championship but for most of our squad that's their level. I can only see Lossl, Kongolo, Schindler, Billing and Mooy attracting attention from the premiership. The loan players will probably return to their clubs and I'm sure a few others will leave or go/stay out on loan , still a good few games left for Jan to look at the squad and see who he wants to keep.

Pritchard won't be staying if he's on anything like the money everyone thinks he's on. What, the £120k a week rumour? I can't believe anyone actually believes that, do they?

Pritchard won't be staying if he's on anything like the money everyone thinks he's on. What, the £120k a week rumour? I can't believe anyone actually believes that, do they? He would be very good for us in the championship, and actually looked ok as part of the front 3..... BUT... he has an agent and a moral compass that will sadly look to force a move in my opinion. So we shouldn't try and hold onto him and send him on his way with our best wishes. He is already a journeyman and he seems to be doing his best impression of Tom ince. Also would he get in a front 3 of grant, diakhaby, mbenza and mounie and possibly rvlp and kachunga? Or replacements?

I wouldn;t. Hes not really impressed much and will be on big money you'd presume. He has impressed me, but I guess I must be in the minority ? Every players contract includes a wage reduction if we are relegated to safeguard the club. Possibly one of the reasons we couldn't attract some of the players that people think we should have been signing.

Shame he's just not good enough at anything except running around and he does do a lot of running around. He made a difference coming on v Wolves. Would h have scored if Mounie missed it and was part of the move that won't the ball back. He also created the chance for Mounie a few minutes earlier and was out top scorer when we came up.
