Sounds to me like there's some doubt about the takeover going through Surely it would just be a formality for the EFL to ratify the deal and Phil would already be working full time and making the decisions with Jan. It sounds like Dean is still the one making the decisions

Sounded as though the formal process could only start on 7th June - or more realistically 10th June, the Monday after the EFL meeting. JW was saying that he works with the owner/chairman and that's currently DH with PH replacing him when everything is in place. I was happy with the explanation of the Football Forum and the need for Head of Football Operations, with interviews in the next 2 weeks. I was very happy to hear about 5 incoming players already on the way, with more ins and outs to come after that.

However, my interpretation is that Phil meets disqualifying condition 1.e and would be prevented from owning a football club, *although* we were told that specific case wouldn’t have any impact I don’t see how/why, or if there is any “expiry” date for such a disciplinary disqualifies? www.efl.com/-more/governance/efl-rules--regulations/appendix-3---owners-and-directors-test/

If we had to have our EFL share back before it could be formalized and that only happened on Friday do you seriously expect this to be over by the following Tuesday? Its like some people can't live without a scandal to be shocked about or something.

I'm saying that if all parties were confident it was nailed on then Phil would already be in working full time, not Deano

I suspect the club sounded out the EFL and were informally told not to worry about it.

Whatever does or doesn't happen from now on ( and I'm sure it will ) that interview part one was an absolute fuck up .. also interesting that we are interviewing a DOF...so that post is important again .. it wasn't a month ago .. I'm not one to criticise the club but it's felt a bit shaky for a while imo. hopefully we can settle down and move forwards from now on

Hodgkinson deal is just dotting the i's and crossing the t's. Players are lined up/signed, but the club is waiting for the kit launch to get some traffic and drive kit sales, One widely rumoured should be revealed around the kit launch along with another one late this week early next.
Didn't know about the other 3 but will find out when they visit the club.

Does anyone know how to tag the "Didn't Happen Of The Year Awards" twitter account into a DATM post? I thought that too but I did see someone post a photo of Jan in that burger place that used to be Taylor Quigleys at the weekend He will have seen the photo and made up his bullshit around that

Why would you have a part 1 and then follow up with part 2 over 6 weeks later. Has something happened in the meantime which has prevented part 2 being released???

I don't see the other two being anywhere near We are only replacing the 5 players that had an impact or were involved in the squad, the periphery of squad will be filled in with u23s. We had a 22 man squad in the prem? I'd expect a 22 man squad in the champs plus the best 4-6 u23s to make a squad of 26-28. Jan has already said he wants a bigger squad than last year, but I can't see the club actually committing spend to 26-28 senior players.

Reece Brown looks a promising player - I like that sort of signing. Low risk, lots to prove, hungry. 11 goals and 15 assists in 45 games is impressive, albeit at a lower level. I suspect all 5 we're after will be similar. Young, out of contract, plenty of potential to improve further I think our days of throwing ridiculous fees around have been and gone Gone when did they ever begin?

I bet it’s not really much than an Mbenza! Makes you think.

The decision will be an official one. So will have needed to be then typed up by the EFL secretary.... signed off by the chief executive and then posted to town/Phil. Might have made the post tonight if they are efficient.
