We all know what we want, but what is delivered could be totally different, the main target next season is to stop the decline and get on an even keel, maybe we`ll be looking over our shoulder and be too close to the bottom three for comfort, or maybe we`ll surprise a few people and flirt with the play-off places (or better). Personally i reckon mid table would be good, but town dont often do mid table! It wouldn't really be a surprise if we got in the top 6. The bookies have us down for a top 6 place. We'll know a lot more over the summer when we see what happens in the transfer window but at the moment I certainly wouldn't be surprised at a top 6 finish.

I'll carry on to get to your 10 year point. Doesn't change much. 39, 36, 28, 25 37, 36, 31, 25 40, 39, 39, 33 35, 30, 30, 19 35, 34, 32, 32 "The third bottom usually get 38 points" They have exceeded 38 points once in 10 years and have never got 38 points in that period. Another false statement. There or thereabouts PEDANT!! We were bottom with 14 points....i used the bottom two teams as a guide.....did you want me to use Arsenal you fool? The team finishing third bottom generally do far better the next season than the team finishing bottom. It was not relevant to include them. Just 1 being over 38 doesn't make it there abouts. You "fool".

Top six and another crack at the play-offs would be great.

I haven't heard from anyone who expects us to be challenging for promotion. I'd take survival.

I'm hopeful of a decent season in the Championship, but I'm not expecting it. I think we should expect a season re-stablising the club and hopefully an upper mid-table finish. Anything beyond that is probably wishful thinking, although we can always dream.
With such a busy summer ahead of us, it's hard to make predictions, but I'm sure most Town fans are grounded enough to realise we are probably unlikely to bounce straight back up. A solid season with some decent football to watch - and a few more goals! - is all I'm expecting. Pretty much what I was expecting at the start of the promotion season to be honest.

I fully expect us to "do a Burnley" and get immediate promotion and then become an established Premier League team, and yes get to Europe like they did too.
In the real world, I think next season will be a long one. We haven't got an owner with pockets deep enough to spend big, and a manager who wouldn't have a clue what to do even if we did. Actually I'll stick with the head-in-the-sand Burnley scenario.

Burnley didn't go straight back up they only just avoided relegation we beat them late on in the season at Turf Moor and they looked doomed a late rally just saved them.
