South Stand Town section should be renamed the Scoffer Stand for next season. What does everyone else think?

Think it may be more appropriate to have a little montage and recognition 1st game of the season possibly? Maybe name one of the suites after him, Scoffa Suite. Stand is a hell of a big thing and sponsorship etc

A flag would be great...one of my best memories of Scoffa was going to a barbeque at his house...he had hung the giant blue & white union jack on his neighbour's wall overlooking Scoff's garden, the best bit being his neighbour was a Leeds fan, who wasn't best pleased by all accounts...shame that

Great idea. If it upsets the sponsors then fek ‘em. The game is nothing without fans and the ground wouldn’t be as buzzing as it is without him restarting the campaign to get us in the South Stand. The lad was one of our own and naming the Cowshed end after him for one season would be a fitting tribute? Can’t believe so many people are against it. I guess they must work for the corporate side of the club.

The only issue I have is that we may be renaming the stand a lot.
We have a lot of good supporters and how do we rank them once they pass on to the old Leeds Road in the sky?
We could try and rename the stand for a day and by issuing press releases saying that the sponsor "xyz" has allowed the stand to be renamed for the day as the Scoffer stand in remembrance of a well respected fan would serve two purposes
1) keep the sponsor happy, it will draw attention to his name more then ever
2) Allow us to show our feeling to a fellow supporter
Unfortunately we don't have enough stands to do this for every fan that passes on and some family/supporters will at some point be aggrieved that their loved one missed out.
You can never win them all!

Look I did not know the guy but Town fans die every week, maybe every day. You can't name something after every one of them so why would he get a stand named after him when we only have 4?

Live & let live, flag at the back would be nice, far more football supporter than something akin to corporate sponsorship... |
