Firstly, thank you for reading this thread, as I am aware there are quite a few similar topics that go on. I am hopeful that the football link involved will capture some attentions!! We are three serving police officers from Sheffield, South Yorkshire and in July, we will be taking on the challenge of visiting all 92 football league grounds in 92 hours. Within our trio, we have an Owl, a Blade and Spurs fan (That generally gets asked quite quickly!) One car, 3 cops, 92 grounds, 92 hours, 2,400 miles. We are taking on this challenge to raise money for The Children’s Hospital Charity, which supports Sheffield Children’s Hospital and serves the whole of Yorkshire. www.justgiving.com/fundraising/ninetytwo-in-92 Sheffield Children’s Hospital is one of just three standalone specialist children’s hospitals in the UK. More than 269,000 patient journeys are made to the hospital each year and its work changes children’s lives from across the UK and around the world every day. My own daughter was born with a heart defect which I have previously discussed on here when raising money for the hospital who looked after her welfare amazingly for a couple of years and we now have friends and colleagues who have their own children currently being treated in the Leukemia ward of the hospital. We are so lucky to have this amazing facility here in Yorkshire on our doorstep to give people the best care possible. We will be driving over 2,400 miles in a car and riding bikes to reach the London clubs. We will be eating and sleeping (not much) in the vehicle to complete the challenge to make sure we stick to our 92-hour limit. We will start this challenge at Barnsley Football Club at 8pm on Friday 12th July before arriving back at Bramall Lane at 4pm on Tuesday 16th July. We are trying to raise £25,000 for this amazing charity and we would love it if you could support us in any way possible. In the last few weeks we have set up social media profiles on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook as can be seen below. Any donation that anyone can give would be massively appreciated. If you are not in a position to donate then any help you can give through retweets, shares and likes, etc to help us gain as much exposure as possible would also be appreciated Every single penny that is made in charitable donations will go directly to transforming the Cancer and Ward at the Hospital. Thank you once again for reading our post and if this is something you are willing to support we would really appreciate it. Give us a as we get to and go through Huddersfield!! If there is any chance this could be pinned that would also be really appreciated. It's fine they can just flash their warrant cards or give a 'funny handshake' and they'll be on their way unimpeded!

Good luck mate. I will donate.
I've just done 31 years in the police (filth, pigs etc).
The reason I joined was I had just left the Navy, tried to join the fire brigade, no go there so I tried the old bill to pay the bills. Just retired and kicking on.
Take care pal.

Interesting to see the route...has it been done before in 92hrs??
They’d be looking at averaging quicker than 26mph that will be pretty difficult I reckon once you factor in stopping to take a picture and all the little slow streets with queuing traffic. Some grounds will be easy, you drop off a motorway and you’re there...but others will severely bring the average down...and I wouldn’t fancy chasing that final 4pm deadline if you have to drive across Sheffield anytime after the school runs kick in! Even getting close to our ground can be a very slow occurrence for the last mile if you pick the wrong time of day...and of course, you aren’t cycling round London at 30mph!!!!
Good luck! It’s an excellent cause...and Sheffield Children’s Hospital is one of the main reasons I was born in Yorkshire and brought up in Hudds. Parents had been living in Salisbury (my dad had been in the Royal Engineers who were based there)...when my elder brother was born and basically lived in hospital for the first year of his life, they relocated back up to Hudds to be closer to family and because the Sheffield hospital was accessible. He was given a life expectancy of about 7 years max but he’s still going now at age 56 !
As a little kid I do remember going there every six months or so to visit when he’d been in for another op....a Sunday out at hospital was a family day out with a picnic!!! Hated the place, but of course it was providing an utterly fantastic service!
He still moans that he never got to read the 1978 summer holiday special of Whizzer and Chips cos I’d got travel sick and thrown up all over it. 🤣

It's certainly been done before but not sure if anyone has pulled off the task in 92 hours!! It's certainly a challenge and with only three of us involved the car is pretty much moving constantly other than the London bit!! Seems like you have a fair few memories of the place - obviously some good and some bad!! It does offer an amazing place of care for children and my own daughter has benefited massively on the back of this!! See you next season back in the best league in the world!!

Good luck and a brave effort; especially considering you're planning on being in the vicinity of Wolverhampton, Walsall, West Bromwich and Birmingham between the hours of midnight and 2 o'clock in the morning
