Suppose I get the "aggro" match out of the way straight away. Not sure how impressed the daughter is going to be when we tell her we're all going to the football on her birthday and we can't go out for her birthday meal!

Worth noting that clubs have around 10 days to request changes to dates/kickoff times(eg don't expect Leeds at home to remain as 3pm on the Saturday) Why would Leeds move from 3pm Sat kick off because of a club request??

Sorry if it has been asked deeper in the thread; but is there a printer-friendy version of the fixtures available, please?

The mighty imps in the pointless cup then!!! Good tie is that, home with a decent chance of going through but not too easy, we need competitive fixtures to bed all our new players/youngsters in.

But will your ‘other half’ be in the away end? Not sure yet - he doesn't tend to go to away games so he probably wouldn't have high enough priority. He has got the offer of a ticket in the home end and thankfully, he is better at keeping his mouth shut than me!

how many championship games do sky tend to show per week? usually 1-2 isn't it?
looking at the 3rd week, our fixture against Fulham looks the most appealing for SKY, two of last years' relegated teams facing each other.

Went racing in Galway last year. Great place. Lively bars/pubs. If you haven't been before and are going with a group of lads. The barmen, bouncers are very strict about letting groups into pubs so don't go in all together. That's one for my list of racing excursions. What's accommodation like (cost/availability) as they get huge crowds for a relatively small area ? I went with my wife to the October meeting. I think it may have been only the first or second year they have held a meeting in October as everything revolves around their Summer Festival. It was quiet in October but brilliant for getting a feel of the place. we paid about £60 each return flights Bristol to Shannon. Hired a very small but adequate car at the airport from Thursday returned Sunday.About 1 hour drive to Galway. It cost about £50 plus fuel.We drove the Atlantic coast highway on the Friday which was stunning. Saturday at the races bus from town centre to course about 10 mins. We booked a meal in the course restaurant which was brilliant. 3 courses, table for the day, bar. The meal was 60 euros each and well worth it. Stayed at a little boutique hotel on the main street but lots of accommodation. Think we paid about £100/night. Great bars for a few in the evening and lots of small local inexpensive restaurants. Have to say I thought with the Euro that food and drink would be very expensive but it was much the same as Bristol. I would recommend a trip there anytime. Great place.

Galway is a great place at any time of year although hectic around the festival. There are worse ways to spend a week that driving the west coast of Ireland.
