Find out about Town’s video subscription service for the 2019/20 campaign
- Domestic and international iFollow HTAFC passes available - Watch Huddersfield Town games through the video service - Passes can be purchased from Monday 1 July 2019
What is iFollow HTAFC, how does it differ from #HTTV+ and what does it include? Find out below what you can expect from Huddersfield Town’s premium video service!
Following Huddersfield Town’s relegation to the Sky Bet Championship, the Club has changed its premium video service from #HTTV+ to iFollow HTAFC.
Due to the change in name, it may seem like a lot has changed, but in theory it hasn’t, and it may actually allow you to watch more Huddersfield Town games!
iFollowHTAFC will allow you to watch some Town Sky Bet Championship matches, hear live BBC Radio Leeds commentary from every match during the 2019/20 campaign regardless of where in the world you live or are visiting, see extended highlights and much more.
There are two Domestic (UK) packages and one international package available, here’s more about them:
Domestic (UK) Season Pass
You can purchase the Domestic (UK) Season Pass that will run throughout the 2019/20 campaign.
The Domestic (UK) Season Pass will cost £45 for the full year and allows you to listen to in-game commentary, provided by BBC Radio Leeds, for every Town game during the Sky Bet Championship 2019/20 campaign.
Alongside this, you will also be able to watch extended highlights from Town games both home and away, re-live the 90 minutes from every Sky Bet Championship game and more! Details will follow.
You can also purchase a Domestic (UK) Pass monthly for just £4.49.
Please note by purchasing the Domestic (UK) Season Pass, you will not automatically be able to watch some of Town’s Sky Bet Championship games live through iFollowHTAFC.
Domestic (UK) Match Pass
This is different to the Domestic (UK) Season Pass as the Match Pass can only be bought for the specific Huddersfield Town matches.
Essentially, if Jan Siewert’s side is playing between 2.45pm and 5.15pm (UK time) on a Saturday or live on Sky Sports, then a match pass will NOT be able to be purchased.
However, when Town play midweek, on a Saturday that isn’t between the times above, or on a Sunday and the game isn’t selected for UK broadcast, then a Match Pass will become available.
You can purchase a Match Pass for £10 per game. Please note you DON’T need a season or monthly pass to purchase a Match Pass.
International Season Pass
The International Season Pass will provide Town supporters who live outside the UK with a great opportunity to watch the Terriers in the Sky Bet Championship.
Through the International Season Pass, supporters outside the UK will be able to watch a number of Town games throughout the 2019/20 Sky Bet Championship campaign.
Every Town game that isn’t selected by UK or international broadcasters will be available for supporters with the International Season Pass to watch.
Alongside this, international supporters will also be able to listen to live commentary, which is provided by BBC Radio Leeds, for every game during the season and have access to all the extras such as extended match highlights.
If you would like to purchase an International Season Pass, then it’ll cost £110 for the whole year.
Please note you cannot purchase monthly passes if you live outside the UK.
International Match Pass
If you live outside the UK and don’t want a Season Pass, then you can still purchase a Match Pass.
Like stated above, match passes will only be available for supporters outside of the UK for games that aren’t selected for UK or international broadcast.
International Town fans can purchase a Match Pass for just £5.
Current Subscriptions to #HTTV+
If you currently subscribe to #HTTV+, then your subscription will not automatically renew and will come to an end.
If you would like to subscribe to iFollowHTAFC, then you can sign-up from Monday 1 July 2019.
Pre-season Friendlies
Huddersfield Town plans to stream some of the pre-season friendlies this summer.
Please note that you will NOT be able to purchase a Match Pass for the pre-season friendlies.
To watch these streams supporters will have to sign-up to iFollow HTAFC through either the Domestic or International Season Pass or the Domestic Monthly Pass.
Games available to broadcast
Huddersfield Town will let supporters know which games ‘match passes’ can be purchased for both domestically internationally.
Summary
Domestic UK Season Pass
- Costs £45 for the season - Listen to all Town games with BBC Radio Leeds commentary - Watch exclusive video footage like Full 90 and extended highlights
Domestic UK Monthly Pass
- Costs £4.49 a month - Includes all the detail above
Domestic UK Match Pass
- Costs £10 per game - Don’t need to have a season or monthly pass - Only certain matches will be available for supporters to watch

When it says 'watch a number of Town games' under the International season pass and that - 'Every Town game that isn’t selected by UK or international broadcasters will be available for supporters with the International Season Pass to watch'.
How many would you predict (out of the 46) that would be selected for UK broadcasters and therefore not unavailable?

“Essentially, if Jan Siewert’s side is playing between 2.45pm and 5.15pm (UK time) on a Saturday or live on Sky Sports, then a match pass will NOT be able to be purchased.
However, when Town play midweek, on a Saturday that isn’t between the times above, or on a Sunday and the game isn’t selected for UK broadcast, then a Match Pass will become available.”
Surely that means NO games? All midweek games are televised live on Sky Sports this coming season via the red button, just as they were this past season. We seem to have moved away from the “moving games against Leeds to a Sunday lunchtime”..so no games will likely be shifted from a Saturday unless they are on TV.

Is that right, they just show midweek games? But all of them. Do you know if they are in HD?

The other limitation is that it’s a single camera set up, so there are no replays at all...to be honest, I MUCH preferred the coverage to the regular multi camera set up, it was a lot truer to the regular match experience, with the commentators just commenting on what they saw, rather than some interpretation of the game of football based on slomo multi angle crap, which should be reserved for post match analysis...it flowed a lot better as a viewing experience, and there’s none of those shots focusing on a manager for 10 seconds whilst stuff is going on. Maybe it’ll be multi camera this season though, I think last season was very much a “let’s get this up and running” so we can tick the box kind of exercise.

We ain’t gunna be a top draw so unless we take the division by storm we won’t be a popular choice. Difficult to say without looking at other teams from last season. As a rough guide see how many times Leeds were on last season and divide by 4 or 5 to get our likely total.

Absolutely brilliant for fans like myself and Graham Ellis now he's in sunny Spain. Glad that I can contribute toward club coffers too even in a small way.

Dazed and confused. I already pay monthly to get Oggys commentary etc. Is ifollow extra ( for the audio commentary) or will my current subscription automatically change to ifollow? Or should I cancel the current subscription (no idea how) and subscribe to the monthly ifollow? In the words of Pete Townshend "cant pretend that growing old will never hurt". UTT

The link below allows you to see which matches are available to stream live on IFOLLOW www.efl.com/broadcast-schedule/At the moment all our games are unavailable, including the midweek ones unless you live overseas. If you are overseas then only the Derby and Lincoln matches are unavailable.

Or you could just forget about IFOLLOW and get a iptv subscription and get all the games , plus every UK channel, thousands of films and box sets , all boxing PPV etc etc for roughly the same cost . Or at least that's what I've heard from my mate Dave down pub.

Can anyone tell me how quickly the full 90mins are put up after the game? I've had to give up the season cards this season due to work commitments. I don't finish until late on a Saturday and was hoping I could watch it when I get home. The next day at least.

Note that this game (and all midweek Championship fixtures) are available to watch via SkySports also. Pub licenses don’t cover these, so in a pub you should only get the “normally broadcast” games (which is why the number of midweek games was increased in that auction pack) rather than being able to rock up and ask them to put on the Town match.

Last year on HTTV the highlights usually came up the day after and the full game normally took a couple of days. The highlights were usually a bit crap - about 8 minutes and four of those were coming out on the pitch, cameras spending lots of time looking at the two coaches etc. Did get to see the goals though....

In addition to the sky games, the QPR (Saturday Aug 10) game isn't going to be shown for the international iFollow subscribers - I am guessing it will be available as the overseas TV game and thus plenty of streams for those (UK and abroad) unable to get to Loftus road.

Hi Mr Explorer, The reason for this is because the Club are not allowed to show highlights (max 10 mins) for 24 hours and full 90 mins for 48hours after the match. This is due to the broadcaster paying a lot of money for highlights (MOTD etc) and full game coverage (BT, Sky, International TV etc. This season is similar, Kind Regards Mr Roo

I want to see the highlights live. 😉

Anyone from Australia looking at this? I was looking around on Kayo and noticed that Sky is available with the Championship. So far it looks like Town are getting quite a few games on Sky early season. What’s the thoughts of fellow Aussies?
