Dear Founder Member,
We will be holding an EGM on Wednesday 3rd July at 7.30pm to discuss proposals to transfer existing activities to Moldgreen Con club.
HTAFC have given notice that they would like all public access to cease on the Canalside site by mid July 2019, due to issues with the proposed new build. This is around 6-10 months earlier than previously promised. Obviously the proposed development at Leeds Road Playing Fields has not yet started. The HRC Committee have been working hard behind the scenes to ensure that current activities can be maintained by transferring the activities (bowling, snooker & social) from Canalside to Moldgreen Con club. This means that the remainder of current bowling season would take place at Moldgreen Con.

I take it "public access to canalside to cease" means an end to match day parking there as well.

A very sad day, used to enjoy my sausage butty and a spying mission (for new signings not with Bielsa).

A step closer to losing that "identity" between Club and fans if prematch events at Canalside and mid week lunch venue are going to disappear.

Very disappointing news. It was good, secure parking, the q&a were interesting, and the food good. It’ll also end my lifelong “association” with the place - my mum said the first time I ever walked as a baby was on the bowling green at the front.

Hopefully thy'll put up a plaque to mark the spot, similar to the one in the B&q car park to mark the Leeds Road centre spot - that's the least they could do IMO

A very sad loss, irreparaibly damaging the close relationship between the fans and the club - I'll miss hearing a straight talking chairmen's Q&A and the other guests, particularly Steve Kindon.

A step closer to losing that "identity" between Club and fans if prematch events at Canalside and mid week lunch venue are going to disappear. Not disputing that some form of link is disappearing but Canalside was always too far from the ground for pre match events anyway, in my opinion. Fan parks are the way forward, not everyone’s cup of tea but West Brom, for example, have a great fan park next to the ground. They need to plan for this as the way forward. Just talking pre match events.

I take it "public access to canalside to cease" means an end to match day parking there as well. This was already confirmed by Julian Winter... “JW advised due to the building works at PPG Canalside there will be no match day car parking for the 2019/20 season. ”source:: www.htafc.com/siteassets/pdfs/att-notes/att-voices-panel-meeting-notes---may-2019.pdfAnd on the fan zone / fan park... VP asked for an update on where the Fanzone would be? JW advised due to the developments at PPG Canalside, the Fanzone would be relocated elsewhere AH commented that the Club had identified a possible near the Stadium. Note – details of this new location will follow on htafc.com when confirmed.

Isn't this just for the duration of the constuction works, health and safety and all that ? That's the way I read it. Surely when all is completed, it will be back to normal.

OK, it'll be ready for next season then. I don't see what all the fuss is about. I park for free every home game, safe as houses and with no hassle..

I park for free every home game, safe as houses and with no hassle.. No this is it done. Canalside will become a non public training site now. Parked there for a while but no issue from me as the complex is being improved. I think the Gas st car park is being offered as an alternative

If it's temporary of course I can understand that. Can you guarantee this is temporary and Canalside will resume being a prematch venue and providing mid week meals once the improvements are completed? If so fine.

It’s been said a hundred times but surely the way to go is to build something in one of the disused car parks around St Andrews Road or buy the Gas Club.

Leeds road barn is literally about a 3 minute walk from canalside, it really isn't a big deal

no I cannot because I understand that part will move to the playing fields. It's the permanent loss of the midweek restaurant facility that I wouldn't like to see. Having a restaurant where you can have lunch and see the players walking around must be a unique experience? or at least can't be many similar venues around. Do you know what's going to happen to that? PS This is the weirdest exchange I've had on here. It looks like you're saying what I'm saying, and I'm saying what you're saying

I look at it as the club having ambition to get back to the premiership and be ready for the rules that want a private training ground! On a serious note I just don’t get why anyone would be bothered, it is a training ground not a place for all the fans to want autographs every two minutes.

I park for free every home game, safe as houses and with no hassle.. So do I...fuss about nothing, I don’t know why people would want to be there, but I guess they must have their reasons. However, pretty sure there will never be a return to public parking.

Been told the fanzone will move to the part of the car park behind the fantastic media stand where the tv crews parked when we were in the PL
Also there were question marks over parking around the ground because of plans for the HD one development.
Could be tricky parking next year. Gas works is an option of course.

They'll be able to turn all the proposed HDone land into car parking when they finally admit it was a shit idea and won't be being built now
