He should have hit the target with that last gasp header. Not an encouraging performance The chance he'd been waiting for all game.

Oh deary me Steve, what a golden opportunity to get your name up in lights and for your stock to rise. The proverbial sitter for an accomplished header of the ball. Reminiscent of last seasons misses

He should have hit the target with that last gasp header. Not an encouraging performance He should have buried it. He did nothing all night but still should have won it for them at death. Sums his last year up perfectly.

He likes tight "ladies" style thongs, so his nuts stick out either side of the gusset bit,, That's why he doesn't run around much.

Don't squirrels usually hide their nuts?

Don't squirrels usually hide their nuts? They do indeed but also remember where they hid them when needed

Ghana are heavily fancied to possibly win the tournament this year.
He almost got a flick for one of Benin's goals.
Story of his season, there or there abouts but just doesn't want to land for him

I'm watching Ghana vs Cameroon and the standard is pretty diabolical. Pass, pass, lose it. Run, pass, overhit it. Run with it, lose it, kick the player.

The women's game France v USA better game than some of these African nations games.

I do not want to read this thread, as it is inevitably populated by dickheads.

The women's game France v USA better game than some of these African nations games. Wouldn't surprise me in the least. I know that there are quite a few Africans in the big European teams - and many in the EPL - but for every one of those there must fifty pub league standard ones. And they all seem to get games at AFCON!

That missed chance last night was abysmal I’m not sure how he managed to get under it to head it over. Didn’t he once say something along the lines of put the ball into the air and I’ll do the rest?...

Mounié's only issue for me, and it is a bloody hard one to solve, is a chronic lack of confidence. He is getting in the positions to score; he is good in the air - but then every chance is being snatched at or misdirected. If he can have a bit of luck first month of the season, then he will be an asset. If, however, he goes 5 or 6 without a goal, then I can't see him having a future with us.

This may be true, the issue most of us have is we are just not sure anymore if he will ever reproduce his form from the start of our first premier league season. He got a hat trick in the warm up game in Egypt so maybe it is confidence and the pressure is telling in real games. Lets hope he shines in the rest of the tournament, if they get through to the next round.

Mounie needs to spend time with a shrink and get his terrible confidence issues sorted out.

Brighouse Town standard probably so you can read anything in to that We needed Mounie to have a cracking tournament and a club to gamble on signing him off the back of it. Instead he's carried on last seasons form and no one will touch him
