Odd isn’t it. Think there was about 600 when I was there They’re redeveloping Lesser Hampden and moving into there, from next season I think. It’s situated right behind one end of the main stadium.

Yeah seen there were plans to move, that was a reason why I wanted to go see them there. Years to come, it will be one to drop in a convo. I’ve done all 3 of East Stirling’s Grounds too. Falkirk, Stenhousemuir the two they sahre and did share with and also Firs Park, all in the space of 10 years. Bit weird really

Bit weird really Firs Park was great, but Falkirk’s old ground Brockville, was THE best ground in Scotland in my opinion. Town centre location, vociferous crowd, tight terracing but still fairly substantial. Been to every Scotland ground bar Peterhead.

Only went to Love Street a couple of times. Not my favourite ground, but it had character, unlike the new stadium. Greenock Morton’s ground is fantastic, proper characterful, and the old Dumbarton ground, Boghead, was interesting too, but very run down. The new one is crap - just one stand.

Done Morton and Dumbarton. Dunfermline. Motherwell. Celtic. Ayr twice. Kilmarnock. Falkirk. Best of the lot was East Stirling. Stood on railway sleepers...electric substation next to me. Always bottom but no relegation. Think its a suburb of Falkirk.

You’re right though, Firs Park had railway sleepers and ash terracing on three sides. It was in a dodgy part of Falkirk, but is, alas, no more.

Watched England draw 1-1 in 1968 in front of 134,000. I was 14, I turned to leave the ground after the game, I was carried up and down and out before my feet touched the ground again.

Raith i forgot....all corrugated iron sheeting. And a weird stand truncated by the railway line. There were some great grounds in Scotland, remember Hearts with the open ends and tenements overlooking, many had tracks round like Odsal or the old Shay, with pavillion type stands at the corners, eg Airdrieonians and Aberdeen.I used to like Dundee FC with its cranked Leitch stand a bit like old Molinuex.
