This was one of my concerns for the season, Town being lightweight in the centre if we lost Mooy and moved on Billing. Ok its only a small sample watching one of todays games for 90 mins and the youtube videos of preseason; but I'm a lot more optimistic now.
The development of Bacuna into a properly good all round centre-mid continues. I am seriously impressed with what I've seen from O'Brien. I saw him a lot in the EDT/U19's where he was a 10/wide player. This season at Bradford has turned him in to a man! He's looking good in the centre-mid No8 position. Reece Brown, I wasn't too sure of what position he was going to play (I've not followed Forest Green) but it seems he is also comfortable as an 8. And I highly rate Matty Daly.
If we are playing 433. and those centre 3 are a DCM (a 6) or ACM (a 8) as things stand we have:
DCM:
Hogg
Bacuna
Stankovic (if he's not playing as a centre-back)
ACM:
Mooy
Bacuna (equally comfortable being attacking)
O'Brien
Daly
R.Brown
Billing (until he is sold. You never know, he might realise he's been badly advised, settle down and get on with it)
'knock on the wood' with a bit of good fortune we have the makings of a strong centre.

Im hoping we sign a midfielder as gooď as Mooy and Billing if they go,otherwise we might as well of not bothered with the Premier League stint

Did anyone get the feeling Mooy was strolling yesterday. I have only seen the highlights. He always looks like he's strolling has done since he's been here. When in fact he covers the most ground on the pitch normally so he can continue strolling for me, as he's bloody good at it. |

Just one seems to wind the fans up because of it and the other is given God like status, even before Billing's comments about wanting a move away. |

The O brien lad seems to be a right prospect, better than Billing imo, deffo in attitude.
