Anyone know what his contract situation is? The kid looks like a gem and, with new contracts being given to O'Brien and High, I hope this lad is not overlooked.

Love what I have heard about this kid so far. Obviously I need to see it with my own eyes but love the youth coming through and hope this kid is legit!!

Saw him last night and he did look very good. Composed, confident and stood up to all that Rochdale had to offer up front. Let’s give him and the others some sensible game time and give them their chance.

Hats off to Jan for giving our youth an opportunity.

Played well last night
If we can sell Zanka and get a decent replacement then we need to be getting this lad out loan to league one or two to play games.

Not seen him play. Is he a centre back? He is. He reminded me of you in your peak - pace to burn and a Rolls Royce of a defender 😉. He looked completely at home last night, in fact I thought he had a better game than Schindler!

Calm, composed, read the game well, has pace and attacked the ball in the air.

Yes. I regularly watch the development teams when they played at Canalside. Edmonds-Green and his centreback partner Crichlow-Noble in the EDT both have talent and at the beginning of this season were at a similar level. Edmonds-Green always sightly more composed on the ball. Over the last season Edmonds-Green has really accelerated in development. The Brighouse loan really helping. It is why I posted a few weeks back that I was really chuffed he had been taken on the 1st team pre-season training camp to Austria. He is ready as a backup or a rotation choice for Elphick or Schindler when needed. downatthemac.proboards.com/thread/112445/edmonds-greenCrichlow-Noble has also developed, just not at the same rate. He'll continue with the EDT and probably loans this season and see what happens.

Who knows he might be our best option at right back this season. Sounds promising anyway

I'd sell zanka and keep him here, would likely benefit from being around our squad and could get gametime. whether jan is a good manager we dont yet know, but he's obviously a good coach. we've hardly had a great record with developing players out on loan - last i can think of is jack hunt..?

"Hopefully" lots of others but our record is currently appalling? To be fair, not helped by our elevation to Premiership - would Holmes, for example, have had a better chance of breaking through if we had stayed in Championship? *Awaits obligatory post from Frankiesleftpeg *!

There's a lesson to be learned there. Don't be too quick to write them off.
