This Kit launch was Genius from Huddersfield and paddy power. 48 Hours ago the kit was launched, it was very different and it came across as we had sold out our values for a big paycheck, advertising gambling in the most in your face way possible. The kit was horrendous, the values were horrendous and soon enough Huddersfield town and paddy power went viral. 48 hours later, the real kit was unveiled and again it was very different but this time for the complete opposite reasons. A kit without any sponsorship whatsoever, a shirt just for Huddersfield town. Paddy power got enough advertising in that 48 hour period for the year, and now they have managed to turn the publicity around. At first they came across as throwing gambling in everyone's face, now they have singled themselves out from their competitors as being the only gambling company to sponsor a football shirt and not feel the need to shove it in everyone's face with a massive logo like 32 red and OPE. All in all, Huddersfield town and paddy power have had the last laugh, from looking like the worst kit launch of all time, its probably the best. Now its time to wipe opposition fans smug look from their faces as instead of selling out to a bookmaker, we are the only professional club in England to not have any advertising on our shirt.

So basically they couldnāt get a sponsorship deal/sort one in time and so have treat us all like mugs and turned their poor planning and usual lateness in sorting the shirts round on us the fans, with a last minute deal with PaddyPower for this stunt! Shirts without sponsors look shit, look like the club couldnāt find a sponsor and letās not lose sight of thatās exactly what has happened here - they have just created a smokescreen and noble cause to cloud it!

I do vaguely remember people getting a generic shirt and then mum would sew the badge on too?

More people will know who were sponsored by than most clubs who have their sponsor on the shirt. Genius.

Still got leeds mates saying they think it devalues our brand, and we won't see any commercial benefits from it, yawn.

For balance there was plenty of other MP's on twitter yesterday and also anti betting campaigners etc. Yesterday it was as though common purpose had sent an email round with statements for peoples social media.

I do wonder what Paddypower will be doing to promote themselves now they are not on the shirt. Major promotion via the electric scoreboards is almost a given. Advertising on Clappers? Golden Gamble Tickets? Programs? Food and Beverages wrappers / containers bought in the ground?

Anybody remember the First Replica Shirt worn by the Fans ? I had a 'Bukta' Town shirt in the 70's which was bought from Bradley's sport shop on King Street, the club didn't sell them back then......UTT.

"Ah it's because Paddy Power sponsor them and want to get rid of shirt sponsors"
