No numbers for Billing and Zanka then. Also no number 2 or 3 so maybe positions still to be filled?

I do reckon we'll see one or two more come in but it could just be the case that no-one wanted those numbers.
If Bockhorn had asked for 2 I doubt we'd have been like 'Nah sorry, we're keeping that free for our real first choice right-back.'

No Sabiri, no surprise. No Rowe or Duhaney though. To be loaned?

Yeah my thoughts too re Duhaney. Given lack of full-backs and drop to the Championship, I thought he would be involved?

No Billing or Zanka….. No surprise there after what the chairman said. No, would have been a bigger surprise if theyd been given one. Difficult for the club. Obviously we want to sell and get as much as we can for each, but by making it so patently obvious we don;t want them, its bound to effect their values.

A state of affairs that hasn't done either party any favours. Billing must have known he was making himself unemployable here with his attack on Siewert. Zanka I have a little sympathy for because of his international managers comments.

I don't think we'll lose out much, if any, on Zanka. As for Billing, I don't think he's done himself much good in terms of what deal he might get.

Ive no idea what Billings like as a person. Hes a young lad so maybe hes just getting lousy advice off a poor agent or his family? Or maybe hes a pushy brat who doesn;t know how to conduct himself?
With Zanka. i can't believe this has anything to do with what the danish manager said ( thats not Zanka's fault ) so you have to presume things have gone down behind the scenes that have really turned the club off him. Surprising really as on the face of it, he never came across as that kind of bloke. The free pint gift out of his own pocket.. the way he always applauded the fans come what may.
He had a good world cup and his international manager bigging him up, so maybe he just came back from Russia with a very different opinion of himself to the player that went there?

As I understand it Zankas manager made it plain that he wouldn't be considered for international games if he dropped into the championship. That put pressure on Zanka to force a move. Maybe i'm wrong and that isn't the case, as a recipient of a free pint I liked the guy.

Here's a bit of random, and probably irrelevant, Billing information. I saw him on Wednesday teatime, getting into a taxi after walking out of a takeaway on Bradford Road, Fartown. I said hi and he said hi back. Town were probably just arriving at Rochdale.

No Billing or Zanka….. Although their numbers haven't been taken. Indeed! Whilst not being mentioned on the official list. All omitted current Town players who had a number last season, their numbers haven't been allocated to another and are still 'available' to them should the need arise.. Billing (8), Hamer (12), Zanka (25), Sabiri (29), Duhaney (38) & Rowe (44) I don't think I missed anyone.

No, he said that later when I crawled into bed next to him after I'd finished his leftover takeaway. Oh what a night!

Rowe has lots of players in front of him, so it's more than understandable he either drops back to development or moves out on loan. I think Duhaney is a left back and we are short there, so that raises more questions. We wete linked with a young LB from Ipswich.

I agree, but he got some game time last season which suggests that unless he has a loan sorted out then he'd be an option for this season. I think Duhaney is a left back and we are short there, so that raises more questions. We wete linked with a young LB from Ipswich. Duhaney played RB vs Wolves. I've no idea what he's like on the left. We were linked with Dylan Crowe from Ipswich (also a RB) but I have no idea whether that interest has gone any further.

Maybe the rest is bollox though, I did say maybe i'm wrong.
