Was babysitting my 2 yo godson tonight. He was playing Peppa Pig on IPod and accidentally brought up Siri. “Oh dear” he said in a disappointing voice. Siri replied “ bummer isn’t it?” Anyone else had a random or know of weird sayings which result in a random reply? Oops just realised I wasn’t in off topic. Admins please move.

Who's a bummer? Peppa Pig? I always had Grandad Pig down as a wrong’un. Although the show as a whole is poor and reinforces lots of lazy stereotypes to youngsters. (Christ, I need to stop reading the Guardian!)

Everything on CBeebies has subversive subliminal messages. I like Waffle the Wonder Dog though.

As someone who is occasionally forced to watch these children's programmes, Pepper Pig is at least watchable, there is some humour there.
The one I can't bear is Paw Patrol, that is totally humourless, but I guess it's not really aimed at me.

If my 4 year old watches Peppa pig she gets rude, ungrateful, bossy and comes across as spoilt.
Peppa has fuck all manners, is rude, spoilt, bossy and a little shit.
Coincidence? I think not.
She's a bad influence and I've stopped letting the household terrorists watch it.

I'm not a huge fan of Peppa, but it's better than a lot of the other stuff that passes as kids TV nowadays.
Back in the day, kids telly was limited to 2 hours on weekday afternoons, plus the Saturday morning specials. Perhaps I'm looking back with rose-tinted specs, but the quality was pretty good.
These days there are dedicated channels running 24/7, Netflix etc. Not to mention those chancers on YouTube producing 'educational' programs in their garden sheds. Most of it offends my eyes and ears to the extent that I can't be in the same room.
Just another of the joys of getting old.

The producers of "In The Night Garden" are on some seriously strong drugs.
The one I can't bear is Tree Fu Tom and his god annoying, smarmy voice!!
