16 years ago I was in Basra, it hit 50 degrees most days, that was hot š„µ It hit 32 in Chester yesterday, some nights in Basra it dropped that low if we were lucky! If I hear itās a different type of heat one more time...

No problem wandering around at 35 degrees in places such as Spain/Greece with the hot sun burning down. Yesterday I walked out of the office at 6pm and it was like having a blanket thrown on me, bloody smothering and a lack of air !

Likewise, minus 5 is not comfortable, but folk are out in Town in short sleeves and mini-skirts in those kind of temperatures in winter. If you tried that in minus fifty, you'd get frostbite in 20 minutes. Any longer than that, you'd be at risk of death. Big difference.

At 35 degrees plus it was above the āheat stress whiteā limit, all work was supposed to stop. You canāt stop Military operations against an aggressor just because of a high temperature š¤ 50 is massively different to 30 to work in, it was the cooks I felt sorry for 70-80 degrees in the mess tents

It's no different, I dropped my step daughter off At Alicante airport last Sunday, when I got back to our house at 6pm it was 38 degrees. No different to how it felt at the same time yesterday in Newsome when I was repairing some door casings for one of the other step daughters. If it was 50 degrees there would be a huge difference. Out where we live it's been over 30 for weeks, and you can feel the difference when it jumps from 32 one day to 35 the next. Whack another 15 degrees on that and the bollocks area would resemble Niagara Falls.

You can only do so by flicking air con on and leaving it for 15 minutes.

I worked in Dubai for a couple of years, they never reported a temperature above 49.9 degrees, I often saw 55 degrees in the summer months.

It's all due to moisture levels in the air. More moisture here so your body is not able to regulate its temperature as well therefore it 'feels' hotter.

I could cope with the dry desert heat, but really warm and humid days over here feel worse.
